I took my bike in may 5th and till now only 3 services are over. Is it mandatory that I should complete all free services by the end of an year, else I will lose warranty? I dint complete my 4th service yet because, I had an accident in bw and changed the engine oil, checked brakes engine etc during the stage.

I don't think its like you have to complete it in 1 year.. I think you have 2 years.. cos I got my bike serviced for free till i completed 2 years before I went for the tour to Nepal, I got my bike serviced for free.. and after I came back.. had to pay for the service cos i exceeded by 4 days.. lol.. and I had my last free service remaining..

                  • Bump! Everyone's riding I guess.

BTW, I'd a successful trip this Sunday. Details here - http://www.xbhp.com/talkies/tourer/2...karnataka.html

ZMR as usual faired very well. RVM mounts disappointed though. The left RVM came off completely after 30 km off-roading.
The bike returned awesome mileage though - 497 kms with 3 bars still left. I assume that translates to >50 kmpl.
                    Got a $5 head? Get a $5 helmet.

                    • We can do our free service in another service center, right?
RVM is a good tool to see your buddys losing behind while racing :)

                        • Guys a small question.. My ZMR has done 11500km on odo and am thinking of shifting to ss oil.The manual says the oil capacity is 1.34l,but during refill only 1.1l is required. Now the question is, if i drain the oil and refill using ss oil (1.1l),wont it mix with the mineral oil and result in poor performance of ss oil???? and which is the best ss oil i can go for???

There won't be any issue with mixing of oils. You can go for Honda Throttle 10w30 FS oil instead of SS oil. At 500 rupees its VFM and moreover its made for Honda bikes, by Honda (Honda uses this oil in CBR250R) . Acceleration will be crisp. I am using it in my ZMA and I am very satisfied with it. If you want to use any SS oil, you can go for Shell AX7 or Veedol Super Swift, or Valvoline Premium SS; all come in 10w40 grade.

I had used the Honda 10w30 FS oil in my ZMR and other owners too...its not good for ZMR...there is very minor difference in SVC oil and Honda....bike engine become harsh after sometime...

may be it performs well in ZMA...
