Though i wont deny that an NB might just produce a bit more light than the Dela bulb, but i guess " a bit more only " ???
A normal 55/60w is more powerful than 35/35w bulb, so you would feel the difference as soon as you change it. Osram NB, as Osram claims, is 90% more brighter than the regular 55/60w bulb; Philips Extreme Vision, as Philips claims, is 100% more brighter than the regular 55/60w bulb. The light produced by both normal and these special bulbs would be the same. But, the brightness and spread of the light differs. To see the difference you need to check once for yourself.

I have noticed this difference when I changed from normal 55/60w bulb to these special bulbs.

And more than the intensity of the light, spread of the light is very important. Even if the light is brighter, if the spread is not proper, then its of no use. Generally, low beams will not have any issues when you change bulbs. its the problem with high beam. The high beam should be pointed and light throw should be long. Compare the high beam spread of the stock bulb and the current Dela bulb and see if there is any difference.

After the bulb got damaged in the SVC, they replaced it with a Dela 55w bulb ---> free for me but 80 bucks outside ---> similar to Philips 55w.

Changed to Osram NB after reading +ve reviews. These Dela/Hella/Philips 55w (normal ones) simply bite dust in comparison.

Hmm.. Though i did search for an NB in a few places, i have been in doubt for NB specifically coz of the price factor. That's the reason I got myself a regular bulb which must say has given me the expected performance.. But really good to see such strong responses in the favor of NB.. I now have some courage to get one Thanks Guys...

My car in next few days.. Great lights.... I travel 200km on a streach in rainy season at night wth no issues .... So go for it... No. 2nd thought.

              Yes I'm using a PSD 110.

And you can put PSD 120 by simply removing the chain cover/cutting it where required (as shown in pics in the last page). No other mods needed.
Now, let me brief you with a few facts.

I ride with a pillion on a daily basis. Pillion is of medium height and hence he complained about difficulties in getting on the bike in stock conditions. Now, with PSD 110; the height has actually increased by almost an inch!
With PSD 120, the height will increase by 1.5 inches. Not only the pillion, but the rider may find it awkward that suddenly his feet are not touching the ground.

Finally, you see a reduction in mileage by 2-4 kmpl with 120mm. I get 1-2 kmpl less with PSD 110.
              Got a $5 head? Get a $5 helmet.

              • Hi, me too using ONB Plus for the past 7 months. No blackspots confirmed. Way more better than normal 35W lights, but almost same light as that of normal 55W. The difference is in the color and throw. The bulb is somewhat whitish with a tint of yellow for the low beam. High beam is somewhat more whiter. White does not mean the light is bright enough, but it is stylish. Will match with your led pilots.
Also, all these tinted type bulbs have a blue coating over the bulb which blocks all the red counterparts of light thus making the light appear more blue. Actually this is stealing lumens. In ONB, the blue tint is like a ring only with a gap to allow light to pass throw. So you are not losing that much lumens when compared to philips counter parts. So ONB is nice if you need a whiter pointed light. Else, buy a normal 55W lamp. It will give you a brighter yellowish light, and avoid the philips. It sucks in lumens

Thanks for the details, but the problem is 110 PSD is not available in Kolkata... So has to opt for 120.... Thanks anyways....

Hi Antan, if I may be allowed to brief you on your query. PSD 110 IS available in Kolkata. One of the ZMR owners, our Satyajitda or SatyajitIRC has a PSD 110 as the rear and using a michelin sirac as the front tyre. You may go back a couple of pages and find what he did. for 110 PSC, no chain cover removal is required. Fits perfectly but you will have to sacrifice a bit of mileage on that as Divya rightly pointed out from his personal experience. 120 PSD is a bit too tall IMO; maybe a fatter rear will look good but will hamper the ride quality as far as the ZMR experience is taken into account.

And yes, PSD and other tyres are available in Kolkata. B.P. Roadies. The owner is Mr. Jignesh Thakkar a very dear friends to motorcyclists in and around Kolkata. Have a chat with him. Ping me if you need his personal contact number Happy riding!
