  • Congrats for the Tyre..
Let it settle for around 150-200 Kms, after that you will praise the tyre much more.. It really sticks like a leech.

    • Pulsar 220 F

This is an e-mail which i sent to the customer support of Bajaj auto after completely losing my patience. Am i the only one who has encountered these issues. Does anyone have any idea as to how i can fix these issues as i think the service center guys are useless.

      CUSTOMER SERVICE <[email protected]>
Fri, Aug 5, 2011 at 4:02 PMComplaints of course- why would i write to you otherwisehide details Aug 5 (1 day ago)

      To,
      Customer care
      Bajaj Auto

I am writing with reference to my bajaj pulsar 220F delivered to me on the 6th of Feb 2011.
I had previously launched a complaint (CR- 76898
      ), with the following concerns.

"1. At your probiking shop at Sai Service Kandivli, Mumbai, at the time of the delivery, i was not informed that not all service centres cater to the 220 F, i was not shown around the bike and its controls, i mean i can easily understand all that but as a customer, i expect this sort of service. Let me just say that i would not recommend anyone going to your pro biking stores to buy your vehicles.

      2. At 65 km/ hr when i hit a pothole, my front rim cracked. this was almost within a month from buying the bike.

      3. My front fairing rattles under the slightest of acceleration

      4. A major issue that the service center has not been able to fix is the loud noise generated by the rear brake. This issue was first brought to their notice before the first service and my bike has covered more than 4500 kms and that issue still has not been resolved.

      5. The chain is bent at places and when i pointed this out to the mechanic at bajaj service center, he said oiling would solve this issue, but apparently my local mechanic who i took the bike to for oiling the chain has more knowledge than your trained mechanics. He noticed the deformed chain and advised that i get it changed from bajaj."

Out of the above mentioned mechanical issues, only issue number 5 was fixed and i am very satisfied with the solution provided only for issue N0. 5.

The issues and complaints which i currently have with my bike:

      1. Front fairing rattles under acceleration.

I have brought this issue to the notice of service center on more than one occasion. I also made it easier by telling them that there are two rubber knobs which fit in like a button and have fallen off, but the reply which i received was that everything is in place. If only i had not lost the rubber knobs.
This issue is petty but seriously kills the joy of riding.

      2. Rear brake noise

Let me be just another customer to point out to you that the rear brake is not adequate. Having said that, i understand the default setting of rear brake is soft to avoid locking of Tyre under braking. The rear set of brake is not good, period.

Well, the problem is that it is inadequate and it makes a sound, much like when a overloaded truck makes when brakes are applied. FYI, this issue was first raised even before the first service and at about 7000 odd kilometers on my bike, it still has'nt been resolved.

      3. Alignment on my rear wheel

This issue had been brought to their notice about 2000 Km's ago. I can see that the wheel is not rotating in a straight line, the way it should. The consequences are, the bike wobbles, its unstable under braking and it scares the hell out of me when i try cornering the bike because i am unable to maintain my line due to poor handling.

As per your (Lazy)service center guys, there's nothing wrong with my bike.

Well this is all just to start with. I am being very nice and calm about this because i have decided to never ever in my life buy a Bajaj Auto product. I will wait for your reply and will wait for the results in the form of (permanent) resolution for these issues. I have almost made up my mind to sell off this bike which i had bought to compliment my dreams of riding. You have spoiled the pleasure i hoped to get from riding. Your product did not make me proud of my decision to buy "The Fastest Indian" (Fastest to the service center)

I have spent quite some money on your low quality product. About a few grands, most of which was spent on a new front rim which cracked before the first service.

Let me be quite clear here, i am not pointing at the poor quality of service provided, i mean that too but it would not have been so bad if your product was built right. Its about time that you guys get it right.
Just flick the switch and twist my wrist
The beast comes alive, bringing me back to life
A tap to shift and flick of the wrist
The beast takes flight bringing me back to life
Kill the silence, tear apart the dark
The beast rips the road, hell yeah, i feel alive.

      • Quick Question

I am going to Leh this weekend.
The bike was all ready but have discovered a problem now.

Switching the headlights on, the bike is barely able to pull from 2k rpm onwards. The battery light starts flashing. Switch it off, and the problem almost disappears.

Battery is Amaron, 1 year old. Recently changed the low beam bulb as the other one had fused.

Any pointers as to what could be the problem before i take it to probiking?

        • ^^Could be a wiring problem or a faulty switch. I do not think it is a battery issue though.

You recently replaced your wiring harness right? If yes, then it should not be anything to do with the wiring.

Very weird issue! Do update here if you get a solution, just do a battery load test just to be sure.

Check the coil.. It should have gone weak.. You may have to replace that..

                  • Probiking Service center in Pune?

Hi, sorry but I'm in a bit hurry so cannot search the thread. I need address of probiking Service center in Pune preferably near Aundh for my P220FI.
I have recently shifted to pune so I'm now aware of other places.
A local service center has already screwed my bike, so need the address ASAP.

                    Thanks and regards

                            • Unlike the rear, this front Bybre looks exactly like the older KBX stuff. Safe to assume there aren't any design modifications I guess!
