Oops my bad, for a moment when I saw new ZMA I went ahead to assume it was the 2013 Hero labelled ones. I guess sibun or psr sir would be able to help you with that info.Originally posted by ashwin.terminator View PostSo the new ZMA and the outgoing ZMA have the same Main Jet size?
Shell Advance AX7. Cheap and gets the job done, even AX5 is good. I prefer to stick with Shell branded oils, as they've never let me down.Motorcycling Experience:

Re: Karizma/Karizma R
Finally... The pics of my ZMA on XBhp. Time for her 15 minutes:-).Originally posted by Killcreek View PostI will try to find that out when I visit the ASC for the first free service. The riding experience has been awesome, to say the least. No Issues so far :-)
Please excuse me for the late reply.
These pics were taken a week prior to the First Service. The First Service went smoothly, got her a teflon coating, and a change of gear oil @950 km.
The mileage seems to have improved, roughly 30+ kmpl in city riding. Also noticed a higher idling rpm up from 1.5 to approx 1.8 X 1000 rpm.
Although I can not confirm the month of manufacture, the year of manufacture is 2013.

Re: Karizma/Karizma R
is it mandatory to change the gear oil during/post the first service ??Originally posted by Killcreek View PostThese pics were taken a week prior to the First Service. The First Service went smoothly, got her a teflon coating, and a change of gear oil @950 km. .
If yes then please suggest a brand for gear oil along with its grade,
my bike has crossed 4k kms, but i haven't changed the gear oil yet !!

There no such thing as 'gear' oil for these motorcycles. Its just engine oil, that does the duty in both the lower part (gear box, clutch etc.) and upper part (piston/valves)Originally posted by rrjae View PostGuys

Yes, engine oil should be changed at the first service and preferably between every 2000 to 3000km. If you are new to the confusing world of oils, then just stick to the recommended grade and buy it from the service center in a sealed bottle.
PS: Gearless scooters like the activa , pleasure etc, need both the engine oil (around 800ml) and 'transmission/gear' oil (around 120ml, but this requires less frequent change)

Re: Karizma/Karizma R
I've been wanting to ask this for a long time. Does it really matter if I do not turn off the fuel when parking for a long time? An observation was that when I did not turn off the fuel when using everyday it starts nicely in the morning. But if I keep the fuel off overnight, then it struggles a bit to start up the next morning.~ long roads winding through dense forests are what I seek..Solitude ~

Re: Karizma/Karizma R
My ZMA starts fine ya, infact i havnt even used the choke yet for the first start. I have installed a petrol lock, so i always have to turn off the fuel to take out the key and park.Originally posted by rav View PostI've been wanting to ask this for a long time. acs1207 : I remember you suggesting me to replace the 12v tail lamps with the 10v tail lamps.Originally posted by acs1207 View PostGuess u can replace just one . If u want , u can change the position of the old bulb to confuse the bike's brain !!!
After all , in the search of truth u can sacrifice the cost of a couple of tail bulbs !!!
