(used motul chain spray the first, 2nd time..
used yamaha one this time, still no noise..)
i hope that doesn't point to an incorrect chain slack or something although it had been serviced the same day as lubed.. good riddance though
I don't think its chain slack. Its because of jammed/bent links and also the chain moving sideways on the rear sprocket.

Okay. I'd suggest you ignore. And I heard the dry type lube reduces this sound. How, I dunno...

The bone right after the knuckle, just before the first joint was crushed into dust. The doctor tried to put in a plate and screws, but there was no bone to screw it into! So they just placed the plate, feather-tightened the screws, and hoped bone would re-form around it!

Yeah... If the air is thin, a rich mix is required, and if the air is dense, a leaner mix is suitable.

The svc guys told me the chain for the pre-racing colours lot is from D.I.D. Costs 2695 along with labour.

The new chain is localized. Same with the discs too. Old bikes use the costlier disc.
    You get the point?? :D

It is a black colored bottle, called Yamalube off road chainspray. I think there is a chain clean also available for the same price. Please enquire.

      That is incorrect.

Higher Altitude +/Or Lower Density of Air = Requires a Leaner air-fuel ratio/mixture.

              is it still happening??
could be a problem with the starter motor..
take it to the svc asap..
if there is a problem, they'd most probably change it under warranty (if its still valid that is..)

Its a problem with the battery surely, The same thing happened to me once and I wasn't able to start my bike then I jump started it and it was working fine after that, again when I faced the problem I went to the SVC and had to get a new battery.. Now I have Tata Green instead of Minda.

                  • This is an excerpt of a converstaion between me and a new R15 owner. His bike is about 3 weeks old.

Me: First service ho gyi?(Have you gone through the 1st service?)

He:is hafte due ho jaegi.....(It'll be due this week)
Jerks de rhi hai byk 1st nd 2nd gear mei......(Bike is giving jerks in 1st and 2nd gears)
Sort of miss maar rhi hai.....(Missing is happening)
Nt vry frequently bt ho rhe hai.....(it is not frequent, but it happens once in a while)
                    Aaj fir tank full krwaya.......40kmpl aya.....(FE: 40kmpl)

Original text was in SMS slang, I've done my best to translate it to english. Translations are in bold and within closed brackets.

He has been using premium fuels in his bike. Not high octane, just the xtra mile types, the ones with additives that claim to keep the engine clean.

Since the engine is just 3 weeks old and around 700-800kms run, I don't think that the cause of the "missing" and the "jerks" could be a faulty spark plug.

I think that his injectors are getting clogged. He hasn't ran the tank dry, not even let it hit reserve.

Could the additives in the premium fuels be the reason why his injectors are being clogged? (If this is indeed a clogged injectors problem)

Sarvajit picked it from Perrect Riders, & I saw it at another store here. So that makes it atleast 2 stores selling it. I have no idea about the rest of them.

The pleasure is when your rear wheel slides, and you bring it back; and when the front wheel lifts, you take your time bringing it back.

                            • @Parth: Additives in the 91 octane fuels don't clog up the injectors. I've been using them in my bike since July 2008.
I think that guy didn't run his bike in properly or there is a slight misalignment problem with his clutch cable.

                              • Worried about Engine Oil

                                Hello friends,
Today I went for 3rd service of my R-15 at Eldee Motors, Allahabad.
Now the guys at the Service Station put some other engine oil in my bike than the regular without asking. I came to know about it while billing.
It costed only 220 rather than 415 which I paid eralier for the oil.
I think it was some Yamaha 4 stroke 220.
I wanted to ask that whether I should let the oil remain till the next service or change it immidiately.
I also wanted to ask whether this cheap oil would effect my engine life and performance.
                                Please reply.
