[QUOTE=KwokFist;525590]Yamalube Road Chain Lube - Bikebiz - New & Used Motorcycles, Motorcycle Parts & Motorbike Accessories Is it the same one?Originally posted by tibby View PostIt looks similar to what I had seen. Sarvajit whould be the best judge here!
Sarvajit picked it from Perfect Riders, & I saw it at another store here. So that makes it atleast 2 stores selling it. I have no idea about the rest of them.
It is not that one-what I got was a slightly fatter&shorter bottle&has Off Road Chain lube written on it. This one is Road Chain lube.
This is what I am referring to: http://www.bikebiz.com.au/products/Y...hain-Lube.html
Btw, interesting stuff on that site-so many types of fully synthetic/semi synthetic oils&various other cleaners/sprays etc.too!
It might be a clutch cable gone loose.Originally posted by Parth View PostHmm I know that guy and he's not been pushing his bike over 5k. Mostly 4k is his riding style. Misalignment issue in clutch plates? :OLast edited by Sarvajit; 11-12-2010, 04:49 PM.Quench my thirst with gasoline!

Now the guys at the Service Station put some other engine oil in my bike than the regular
without asking. I came to know about it while billing.
It costed only 220 rather than 415 which I paid eralier for the oil.
I think it was some Yamaha 4 stroke 220.
I wanted to ask that whether I should let the oil remain till the next service or change it immidiately.
I also wanted to ask whether this cheap oil would effect my engine life and performance.
Please reply.
I think that the svc guys was not having the Semi synthetic oil that costs 415 so they have filled the mineral oil that costs less....As per the guidelines you should not return to mineral if you use SS....I think u should get it replaced...If you want that your bike doesnt have any problem then go for a oil filter replacement as well...

Re: Now what
@painreloaded
Thanx for the reply.
Can you tell me how much would the oil filter element cost?
Also can i claim or complaint about the thing that the svc guys did.
One thing more. As i am a student and quite busy these days(bcoz of xams), can i get the oil filter and oil replaced after riding the bike 300 or 400 kms, or is it an emergency.
Kindly reply bcoz im getting worried about my bike now.

Guys, i faced a strange problem with my bike today
. When i turned on the ignition it did a ususal swing check and I thumbed the starter, but then the bike wont start. There were no lights lit up on the console apart from the neutral light and the engine kill switch was at run position. I had to push start my bike to get it running.
Is it due to the fuse going kaput? But the horn, blinkers and the lights work fine.

If the fuse had blown the bike wouldn't start. Get the battery checked. Quite a few people have had problems with the Minda on the new bikes. Nothing to panic really, probably a case of weak battery.Originally posted by zerotosixty View PostGuys, i faced a strange problem with my bike today

Went for a 96Km ride today doing 100-107 Kmph & was using only front brake. When I returned back home I found that the rear disc & rim was a bit warm (not too hot). Is it normal?Last edited by Greymatter; 11-12-2010, 02:18 PM.2005 HH Karizma [SOLD]

Its pretty much normal. But the front disc would be blazing hot. The rear disc and rim might be warm due to the air resistance(friction).Originally posted by Greymatter View PostWent for a 96Km ride today doing 100-107 Kmph & was using only front brake. Oh I thought that the brake pad was rubbing against the disc even without applying rear brake.Originally posted by zerotosixty View PostIts pretty much normal. But the front disc would be blazing hot. The rear disc and rim might be warm due to the air resistance(friction).2005 HH Karizma [SOLD]

how do you plan to keep your Bike for 1 month? I am asking this as I also will not be there for one month and have no idea how to keep the juice in the battery intact.Originally posted by Sarvajit View PostI just picked it up since I had left my Yamalube can at home and the chain was getting rusted as the bike was standing in the rain for last 4-5 days. I wanted to spray it and keep it since the bike will not run for almost a month.
From what I could see, it was thick, oily&colorless. Should last as much as Motul, if not like the dry type overpriced Yamalube. Seems VFM at Rs.300 for 450 ml.
Will post a review once I ride back.
Thank You dost, my Friend doesn't know how to Ride a Bike so i think it'll be Safe with him.....if the battery doesn't drain out in a month, I can keep it locked in a garage. I don't want a dead battery after coming back as it'll be a big hassle for me. I don't even know how to jump start a Bike(she is my First)Originally posted by veyron999 View Postwell, i've been out for 15 days at a stretch, the battery being a maintenance free one, didn't cause any trouble at all...
the bike started in one crank, without any problems whatsoever..
just that it felt a bit rough..the 2nd service being due then could have been a reason for the roughness...
after the service, the bike is normal...
what i'm trying to say is that i don't think there should be much problem keeping the bike idle that long..just find a good parking, preferably under shelter, cover the bike to protect it from dust, cats spoiling the seat, people fiddling with it, etc.
i would suggest not to give it to anybody..for obvious reasons..
Thank You

My mother/sister will be starting it every 2-3 days!Originally posted by Prakritij View PostHow do you plan to keep your Bike for 1 month? I am asking this as I also will not be there for one month and have no idea how to keep the juice in the battery intact.
In your case, see if someone can start it atleast once a week or 10 days. If you cannot, don't worry too much-this is an MF battery, 1 month cannot totally drain the battery out-though you might have to push start it once you are back. It will get recharged in a few kms.of running.
To be on the safe side, get it recharged completely before&after your trip if you cannot find someone to start it.Quench my thirst with gasoline!
