2) Air filter... don't remember when last changed but had got it cleaned. Its around 4yrs old
3) Spark plug is too few yrs old.

This Sunday went to Lonavala filled 8 ltrs of fuel and it returned 33 kms. 260 kms instead of 320...pick up i felt a little on low side as I hardly rev the bike and my daily work commute is 8 kms[emoji12]
1. Change Air Filter
2. Change Spark Plug with NGK DPR8EGP. Platinum plug.

Re-Evaluate the FE

Regarding increase in length of drive shaft, Isn't it possible that this change is made to accommodate wider swing arm ? Or is it just to accommodate wider chain.
Swing Arm is not the reason....I had clearly explained the reason in my earlier post.

Wow that was so dirty... No wonder there was lack of pull while riding. Had little problem while changing as on nut wouldn't come out... Thank you psr sir...[emoji106]

Next I will check the spark plug.

While at it you could also clean and grease the chain.

Heyy everyone ..

I'm in search of the following parts .

1. 17311KRY900 RESONATOR
2. 17312KFN880 BAND RESONATOR
3. 9501856320 BAND AIR CLEANER CONNECTION TUBE
4. 9350004025-OG SCREW,PAN,4x25
5. 9350004032-OG SCREW,PAN,4x32

I have been searching for these parts for 2 years in chennai . Nearly half of my bike burnt up due to fire accident . The service center was able to source out all the parts damaged expect the above ones . I've come up here so that other members apart from chennai can help me out sourcing the above mentioned parts . I'm ok with used ones also .

Thanks in advance

• Karizma R Tyre Selection Help Required

Hi all, owner of a 2012 September Karizma R which has done 11K KMS and currently on stock types. Monsoons have begun and I think it's time to go in for a new pair of boots.

Dimensions

Rear - 100/90 18
Front - 2.75 18

My main priority is wet traction. I have shortlisted the MRF Zapper Vyde for the rear, but am struggling to find something decent for the front. Your help would make a difference here. I prefer the soft/stickier compound even if the life spam is short, grip is wet and dry is my first priority.

P.S. I also want to change my disk pads. Last year for the front I went with the TVS Apache ones as they costed just 260 as compared to 1,200 for the Hero ones. I believe the Rear Apache ones are a direct fit for the Karizma, but thought I'd cross check once.

Thanks,
Jude

Hi guys,

Can anyone suggest me a good svc in Mumbai, planning to overhaul my zma (2005) in coming few months? Don't want to end up spending more money at wrong place.

Hi Naresh, where in mumbai are you located ? If on the western line then I would suggest Kevin from Fortpoint Mahim.

I work just 10 minutes away from Mahim fortpoint. If they're that good, I'll just have the bike serviced from them. Also I want to try synthetic oil, which one do you recommend. Thanks

Mobil1 10w40 FS. Great oil.

But beware, FS oils being thinner (at the molecular level) may give you a heartache in the form of leakages/seepages/oil consumption in a few months time.

Change the tire , I suggested to stick to the same make 'zapper fs'.

yes fort point is good but do mention specifically in the job card that you motorcycle should be serviced by Kevin.
