But i shall not try it again reason i am a 40 km/hr guy and cant handle that kind of a speed for ones it was ok not to be repeated as i am getting 53 km average per lt. As I am a city rider only. Anyways thought of sharing it here.
Great mileage bro. Keep it going.

Now here we have a proof !!!
I donot know to whom you are pointing towards, But I donot think I have came across any of your posts referring to aerodynamics.

Well I still say that adding a Full fairing kills the bike slowly, as the heat has a difficult way to escape.

I know that you are talking, here about increasing the aerodynamics and not adding a full fairing only increase the aerodynamics. Yes, it can be done without adding full fairing too.

      • Oh yeah, mileage.

51kmpl! I have checked thrice and I cannot believe it. I mean yeah, ok.. I have been riding around 50-55 but atleast now I know when I'm jobless (or my company goes bankrupt or something) all I need to do is stay inside 4K rpm.

        • As I said earlier, Yesterday, me and one of my friend (as a pillion) went to a short round trip of 150kms to Ujjain, one of the holiest places on the earth. The plan was instant so nothing planned and one does'nt needs any planning for a day road presence. We started at 11:10 AM, the plan was to reach the main road that leads to Ujjain through outer Ring road. But, as usual, it took us 1 hour to get out of the city even through the ring road and at 12:00 PM we were on the road that lead to our destination. The road was arrow straight and maintaining steady 90-100kmph was my only right wrist task. Nothing much to tell about I hate these arrow straight roads and that too travelling in the scorching heat of noon. Soon I started feeling sleepy and and after some 30kms we took a break. Had some Glucose water and biscuits. Again started towards Ujjain and yet again with everything too easy I decided to reach in hurry and there after it took as only 20 minutes at a pace of constant 115kmph to reach our first target, that was 'Chintaman Ganesh' mandir in Ujjain, after having some break we went to 'Mahankal Mandir' (one of the Twelve Jyotirlingas), here I had 5 glasses of Nimbu-Pani and the guy asked me "Bhaiya, chakkar aa rahe hain kya", I gave him a lame smile and went away. There it took us some 2 hrs to have Darshan in hefty long que. Coming out we visited a couple of more temples one being Harsiddhi Mata and the other ISKCON.

I was very hungry by the time we were ready to left, had lunch at around 5:00 PM before leaving for home. After here we didnot stopped anywhere and reached Indore in 2 hrs at 7:30 PM.

P.S: I will post pictures (only 3-4) as we didnot clicked morethan 5-6 pics because of already late schedule.

          Thanks.

Neon, when I inquired about setting up rear disk on my 180 UG-IV the price quoted was around 8k to 10k so I chucked the idea only because if I had the moolah (money) for this mod I should've bought the 220 itself which costed around 12k more; which has rear disk and obviously more power/bhp blah blah...

Are you sure you wanna spend so much on the mod??? Bro stock is always the best.. But its your call..

Updates from my end (after a long long time)

            4. What else??? Hmmm.. Bike really needs a polishing (coating) .. Will get that done soon as well. oh yeah and she's a year and 4 months young now..

Chalo then gotta run.. Don't wanna get late to office.. Have a good day ahead guys..
            Cheers,
            Gene

Just let it be as it is now. Try as much braking from front brakes as possible. Possible do a pressure wash.

                  • The thing is that they are responding slower and lesser than earlier.
Pressure wash, hmmm. will try it in evening.

                    • One more thing, I feel that my bike wobbles like anything, even if I have tyre pressure set to recommended psi. And also sometimes, not always, I get a feeling as if while riding someone is hell shaking my bike from behind, especially on roads with slightly uneven shapes?

                      Any ideas?

                      • These symptoms can be cauz of poor tire, rim itself, wheel-out's. You may have to give the bike a service basically.

i had a similar issue with my front wheel, my mech told its a tire issue, the didnt really looked worn out, he did wat he possibly can to make it stable with the tire change.

but i followed my mind & did everything for the front wheel except the change of tires. so then after wasting countless hrs & times n energy @ another garage, the problem was not rectified, so then chnaged the tires & Issue Resolved.

                            yes u can get HID!!
for exotic sound u have 2 options.
1.. if u use air filters like k&n or GREEN u get medium and descent amount of exotic sound + extra power + you will get a hike in mileage for about 2-3kms
2.. if u use a booster u'll get huge amount of sound and also huge amount of power and lose 3-5kms of mileage..

When i dont have money.. i follow dad's car :-P

                            • @neon: You cannot increase a bike's power by changing just airfilter to k&n. There will be marginal increase in performance, and that too after upjetting. Which will further reduce the FE. If you just want to increase sound than go for a custom made free flow exhausts like from autotrek and others.

K&N would not increase the mileage of a bike anyway. Infact we have to upjet after fitting k&n which reduces the FE.

                              • What can you guys tell me about the tappet adjustments? My experience tells me Pulsars are somewhat notorious in this department. Remember the noise I was talking about? I think its the tappet. Today, I drove to office and right before reaching, there was a free open road and I let it rip to 80k/hr. When I reutrned now, the engine noise is increased and it sounds as if screws are loose inside it. A little search later, I understand its the tappet making that noise.

I have done 820 kms, first service done. Is it too soon to get a tappet adjustment?
