AFAIK, U'll lose warranty & U'll need to get ur bike properly upjetted, or else u would not get any performance gain.

Hey man what's there in the warranty. If you have any engine warranty issues then it should open up in first 2000 kms ride. You will not lose any warranty unless you make sure that you don't use any aftermarket products on your stock bike. You can make fool of the SVC guys. While servicing you can fit the stock filter and then change when you are back home. It's that easy. ok coming to the point, I don't think you need to do any upjet for stock replacement filter from K&N but the conical filter which is fitted outside needs upjetting. And also you have options to fiddle with slide positions. It's better you remain with stock for stock parts because you aren't gonna gain anything much.Originally posted by Azfar Razak View PostJust thought that it looks cool.
I have a few other questions.
1. I plan on changing the air filter(K&N). Will it void the warranty? Also, instead of using the model for FZ16, can I use the universal one?
2. After changing the air filter, do I need to tune the carburetor?
Thanks again.

Faulty connection most likely. If you have used a cheap chinese make then get the CCFL checked.Originally posted by SpeedyKol View PostSomething unfortunate... What seems to be the problem? Check the wiring. It's a problem with earthing. I got so fed up with the wiring that I have ultimately dumped the whole system and returned to stock system.Originally posted by SpeedyKol View PostSomething unfortunate... I have had a number of gremlins crop up in my system. One of them was this very exact problem. In my case it was the earthing that was a problem. Most of these problems start after 6 months of use. Engine heat while the bike is stationary is a contributor to the problems, especially in bikes that have full fairing as the trapped heat creates havoc with the wiring.Originally posted by SpeedyKol View PostThanks for the help.will check the earthing and the wiring.some are also saying that the ccfl is at fault.

i don't think those handlebars are from the r15 because the fork diameter of r15 is lesser than that of the fz.clip ons are available in the aftermarket easily. am i right christo?Last edited by juniorbiker403; 01-31-2013, 07:11 PM.

It's a universal clip-ons for 41mm forks. :beer:Originally posted by juniorbiker403 View Posti don't think those handlebars are from the r15 because the fork diameter of r15 is lesser than that of the fz.clip ons are available in the aftermarket easily. am i right christo?
Comfort? Riding position is bit aggressive but not as much as r15 v2's.

How to check the earthing, bro? Not so good with electronics actually. The other angel eye on the left reflector is working perfectly. Wouldn't both stop working if there was a problem with earthing?Originally posted by abhimanyu31 View PostI have had a number of gremlins crop up in my system. I am going for a road trip to himalayas so i will be doing a lot of uphill. I think large rim and wheel (rear portion) will be burden to my engine(considering weight).
So what is the smallest tyre size that fits on my rear rim...Offroad type would be better..
I always get a feeling like my bikes engine is having hard time on frequent stop and go kind of road...just because of large rear tyre compared to other 150 cc bikes...Is it true or yamaha has managed low weight even with large dimension....
