    Happy New Year Guys!!

My ride is just shutting off in low speeds this is not the case in high speeds, what could be wrong. My guess is the mixture to be rich, but I got the bike serviced a month back .Did they screw up my tuning. Had the issue a week back , showed it a local mechanic , he didnt tune the AFR but drained the carb , cleaned the sparkplug and fiddled with AIS tube that connects to the Air filter. After this filters sound changed but the shutting off was gone. The next day took the bike to him, he once adjusted the AIS tube and bike returned to sounding like the stock. But for the past days the bike is shutting off with no reason. This is so annoying since it happens traffic or when I rode more than 10kms in a stretch. I also noticed the oil level to have dropped. I am gonna drain the yamalube and pour in with Motul SS and retune the carb, will it work or I need to try somethingelse.

Check the condition of Spark Plug Cap, Spark Plug.

Idle RPM stays constant or fluctuates? Also, check for Idling Screw and adjust it accordingly. SVC guys have the habit of adjusting it to around 1000-1200 RPM (not recommended). Change it to 1200-1500 RPM (when engine is at it's peak operating temperature).

I keep going through the thread. (hobby ). This discussion forum is full of problems and solutions posts ( which is absolutely fine and very helpful ).
In the mean time, I feel the bike needs some regular appraisals too on thread.

After owning Fazer for about 25000 kms. I am so happy with the amount of confidence in riding, comfort, reliability and styling this bike offers. What an amazing bikes in and around its segment. It has taken me around so many places without any problem till date (.

Thanks yamaha, thanks Fazer/fz, thanks to Xbhp too for such a nice platform.

            Is today a Thanksgiving day?

If there is no issue with Carburetor, kindly do not touch it. SVC guys will never do chain cleaning and lubing religiously. It is a simple DIY and can be done without any issues.

                    Hi Ishwor,

Just curious...are you sure that its a pilot jet issue? I was facing the same issue a few days back (had to continuously wring the throttle on crawling speeds), turned out an old spark plug and untuned carb was the problem.

                    Thanks

                    Hi Dhyanesh,

Any updates? I have been busy with office work so could not find time to inform or advise you on the transporting issue.

Tried almost every thing.Spark plug , airfilter os new and tried cleaning and tuning the carb but still i am facing the issue.
Bike runs great when applying high throttle but at low throttle it feels like as if the engine is shut down.
Since pilot jet controla fueling at (0-1/4) throttle positioning so thinking of going for larger pilot jet. Will see of it helps.

Tuned the AFR and set idle RPM form 1200-1500. The ride was fine for couple of days , today the bike again shut off when shifting to neutral to first gear. This is very annoying in stop and go traffic. All tuning by mechanic not me.

After getting my bike serviced (10th paid ) Now my front disc has become too tight to apply, earlier it was not that much tight but now even Using a little bit force front tyre stop immediately and One more thing wheel was rotating freely ,now after service it is not rotating freely . Also a TIK TIK sound coming from front tyre I can\'t notice where it is coming from but from front tyre.
Went back to service center he told me it is fine I just clear the disc pad and tik tik sound will faid away. He just took a ride ride and found nothing suspicious.

Looks like the pads are rubbing on the surface of the disk. Kindly check that and bleed the brakes again. Remove the brake pads and see if the piston is protuding out, if it is in that position, you will have to remove it and fix it again. Then bleed the brakes again.

I changed the spark plug ,air filter last month. Spark Plug is it necessary to change ? I will check with Spare Parts dealer for it. Also I noticing unusal tak-tak sound when I break hard i can feel it at the bars. Could it be the forks? Also my front tyres is closing its life span, has anyone recently changed their front tyres to 100/80 FX1 that comes FZ2.0. Any information on price and its availability in chennai will be helpful.
