    Think I'll try 5100SS for a while.

    What about the viscosity?

Thanks. I'm in Bangalore though (need to update location). Hardly any difference in the current bangalore weather with kerala.

Oh, it is still fine. Bangalore is a tad cooler than Kerala.

Have a question, what might be the reason for hard/chunky gear shifts ?
            Probable reasons might be:
            Chain slack -OK
            Lubrication -OK
            Worn out chain/sprockets -OK
Engine oil -Was changed recently and shifts have been hard even before that.
Clutch plates -didn't check their condition.
Worn out clutch cable -its condition is fine.

What should i look into as its doesn't let me enjoy the ride and i am constantly thinking of the same. Sometimes the gears get stuck and have to disengage and re-engage the clutch to change.
Current ODO stands at 25946 kms

            Ride safe and have fun.

The clutch isn't getting engaged and disengaged properly. Is the clutch lever play more? Tell SVC to tighten the clutch lever play. Things will be back to normal.

              Cheerz!!

Actually this was the first thing i took care of. The play was there, but i got it rectified and there is very little play in the clutch. So this is also ruled out.

What oil are you using? Maybe the oil isn't suiting the bike. Also, get the clutch plates checked.

Currently using Yamalube SS 15w50. But i have used this particular oil before also and it wasn't like this.

Before this oil change, i used motul 300v and the bike was running really smooth, but the oil level was decreasing and its price also. So though of sticking with SS only. I have bought a pack of motul 5100 and would use it during next servicing.

About the clutch plates, i would get them checked.

Well, when i used Yamalube 15W50 or 20W40 i have faced the same issue. If you read my posts about Yamalube, i have always disliked it. My advice is that, get rid of the Yamalube and pour the oil you want to or use Mineral oil (to be easy on pocket) till next service.

Yea, i have read your posts and i feel the same for Yamalube SS. This was my second time using it. Would be staying away from Yamalube.
Mineral gives away really soon, would be using SS, most probably motul.

If the clutches plates are worn out, what are the indications ? Like what would a rider feel with worn out clutch plates..

Bro I used synthetic oil 300V motul on my last ride & it workd fine wit except had mild heating issues once d oil was over 4k kms old.. Mineral works well in most conditions so decided go give it a shot in hills considering I'm not going to ride all the way this time

                            1. Burning smell.
                            2. Speeds won't increase proportionately to RPMs.
                            3. Loss of pickup.
                            4. Mileage would decrease.

Divya bhai congrats and sorry for ducking in, but I own a 200ns and get a sharp smell every time After a 10krpm + ride of 2-4kms, earlier used to get very sharp burning smell, now smell isn't that large but noticeable, 4200kms on odo, everything else is kickass, bike 200ns, should I worry about clutch plates. .?
