I too noticed this sound. It happens at 5Krpm. It sound like naknaknak, I think it is coming from the engine. Honda service people in Bangalore can't fix this problem. I have sent a e-mail to HSMI and i got response back. They said they will come to SVC and inspect my bike for this rattle noise.Originally posted by strikepackage View Post

Hi guys ..... Its been pleasure to own Baby CeeBeeR
My bike had clocked 5500 kms till date ..... Got my Bike in Aug 2011
Yes its bit less km clocked as compared to number of months owned ...
Last weekend went for a lonnnnng Ride to Chittorgarh .... So writing a small experiance about baby CeeBeeR.... Total Kms covered 1380 kms ( both way ) .... I guess its quite a lonnng Ride to explain its character....
This Bike is Rock Solid in Highways 120 - 130 kmph is easily doable ( its mass centralization comes into ture color ) but above 140 kmph u need to go in DUCK position .... Thats where the Bikes Aerodynamice body shows its true color .... Hitting 140 till 158 kmph takes a bit time .... Still in hunt for the magic figure of 100 mph ....
Delhi - Jaipur road is full of Diversion .... But not a problem for CeeBeeR .... Point a gap and Shoot your Bike ..... Managing Gaps & Potholes @ 80 - 90 kmph is as easy as chewing bubble gum .... Ultra Flickable bike character comes into Picture ....
Overtaking in Highway is the most FUN part of CeeBeeR.... The Torque of the Bike is widely spread out across the Mid Range rpm .... ( 4500 - 7000 rpm ) ..... Just choose ur Gear and the bike overtakes all cars, SUVs like zoom .... I found 4th & 5th Gear to be most strongest ..... I use 6th Gear for Crusing and Hitting Top End Speed.....
When i Cruise at 120 - 130 kmph and suddenly see a Long Empty Stretch ... I shift down to 5th and take the bike till 11000 rpm @ 146 kmph and Shift up to 6th .... After which it slowly climb upto 156 - 158 kmph..... Which i touch for few moments and again come back to my normal Crusing speed.... Maybe i have to search another NH to touch the Magic figure of 100 mph..... Suggestions are most welcome ..... I touch 156 kmph in NH-1 but due to diversions and construction after every 6-8 kms its bit hard to Stay at such high speed in DUCK Position .....
But i had choosen Baby CeeBeeR for its touring gene not for High Speed Racing .... This is really a true replacement of Zama .... which i owned for last 5 yrs with 70k kms purely of touring and still in my stable for good reason .....
Yesterday i did 687 kms in single day which is my personal record till date... CeeBeeR rear brakes are not that responsive but the Front are Just Great .... Had Fish tailed twiced during first 100 kms ride ... ( Maybe because i just came back from my Old Zama Ride Last Month .... So its just matter of time to get used to the brakes )..... Mine is Non - ABS red devil .....
Last but not least ..... As we all are Proud Indians ..... Kitna Diya ?????
30.5 kmpl for the Entire Trip ..... I use to get 34 - 36 kmpl in my Zama but its a decent figure of speeds like 120-130 kmph

Booked Tri Colour CBR250R
..... And, I have booked the Tri-Colour CBR250R. Delivery date is said to be first week of March.
Cost, as quoted by saphire honda, Bangalore : 1,71,076 on road (~2250 over normal). They have agreed that if I dont like the colour, I can revert to Red/Silver combo, which was what I was interested in, to begin with.
Has anyone else booked the same? Dealer told me that he had 6 booking so far ( as on Saturday).
The dealer also told me that Repsol honda color is also coming (But I have not found any reference to the launch of this color anywhere, other than saphire guys). Since Repsol colors are too jazzy for my taste (and age), I chose the tri-colour.
If anyone is interested, go to Honda UK or Honda USA to see this colour. Since this colour was present in UK for some time, you will see a few pics of this colour on the street.
Also, here is a small clip of the Someone riding this shade of ceeber.

and folks is there any performance upgrade coming out from HMSI for the 250r,like wht yamaha had for the R15...
I am on the same boat as you. Took my bike to the asc last week. I did mention specifically that the sound comes from the console area and im pretty darn sure its the speedo glass(which has already been reported in US/Thai/Uk C250Rs)
So the mech fixed my fairings again and somehow when i took delivery in the bike the sound did disappear(although i could hear it on a lighter note) for a few kms until it came back all over again.
Gonna take her back when i get time now.
I agree. I absolutely love the uniform torque band from 4-9k rpm... and overtaking on highways just got more easier aswell as safer. I just have to take a peek to the right and see if the coast is clear, and then point the bike towards the road and just twist the throttle after one downshift(not necessary) and i slingshot(no pun intended :P) past the trucks/suvs/cars/buses etc.Originally posted by gyan View Post

Yup. Actually in UK they have been selling this color for some time now. And the colour is well recieved there (maybe because its their flag colours tooOriginally posted by senotrius View Postgreat!

). But in any-case, the dealer gave me an option to back out, if Im not convinced with the colour.
From what I can gather, 2012 and 2011 models are identical, save for the new colour.CBR250R Black 'n' Silver

strange sound from the engine
hi there....
experienced the same sound from the engine yesterday after riding for almost 60 km,i think this happens only when the engine is warm, also there is a knocking sound from the engine when i try to open the throttle a little more on steep inclines especially the khandala ghat section,on normal roads have not experienced it yet, also have experienced the sudden stalling of the bike at least 20-25 times in my last 2600km,earlier i thought it was due to me being a gear higher than required on a slow moving traffic but when the bike stalled in first gear in congested traffic i informed the dealer rohan honda and have been asked to leave the bike for a couple of days.once the bike is back will post the results.

Thanks Alla. I'm not looking for test drive, but to book. Just didnt get the comfort at both the dealerships I visited. But JP Nagar comes highly recommended, by you among others. Thanks again.Originally posted by allajunaki View PostThe Sales person's name is Dharmesh.

Completed around 12k kms on the odo and did my 3rd free servicing today.
Costed me under 2k. Not much problems on the bike. So Just had to change Oil, Oil filter and my front disk pads (which reached almost its lifetime).
Bike is smooth as butter and sounds awesome now.
A section of my chain has become very tight and it makes noise while riding. Can run for couple more 100 kms and then will change the complete chain - sprocket set. Anyone here knows how much the set costs?
