Honda CBR 250R

    Gosh... A year back i couldn't even imagine that i would be posting in the CBR thread.. Most people will know me by my post in Pulsar 220 thread and Kolkata thread..
    I have been riding my Pulsar 220 DTSI for the past 3 years. have modified it a litle with Joel exhaust, Iridium spark plug, K&N filter, Pirelli SD tyres.. etc.
    I rode my friend's CBR 250 the other day and was blown away by it.. not in terms of acceleration or speed (have ridden faster bikes) but in terms of finesse and poise.

    Now guys i have a query.. I would like to go for CBR 250r 2013 Repsol Edition with ABS.. can anyone inform me about its launch date?
    AFAIK it might be launching around March 2013.. Can anyone confirm that?
    Hope to get a Reply soon and very soon would be a part of the CBR family...

      Regarding 2013 new edition CBR250R i had mailed to honda india... yesterday morning i got a call from them... i asked him about new colors and when it will be available... he said already the 2013 CBR manufacturing started ... as of now there is no change in CBR250R... if we are going to launch any products or upgrade in current model we will release the limited news in leading news papper...

      i think as you said they might launch in march or mid of the year... but however dealers will take at least 3 months to deliver from the date of launch.. because they have to sell all old models.. i had booked cbr 150 in tamabaram chennai.. i told the dealer that i want 2013 model... he said if you want 2013 model then you will have to wait till march or april... but i asked honda india about the same .... he said if dealers book some quantity of bike to honda ... then honda will deliver bikes to dealers within 15-20 days..

        IMO, even if the company launches the new colors in March, the showrooms won't receive it by May.

          i have a problem.. my battery has gone completely flat as i accidentally left my ignition on.. do i push start it ? plz advice.. also i am going to my native place which is 250kms away.. will this distance charge up my battery fully? plzz help..

            Push start it with ignition and engine switch on in second gear and it will be charged

              i have this q before but didn't get an answer for this so asking again ,I want to knw if there is any Pune cbr club or g2g
              if yes can u plz tell me as I would live to go on a ride with fellow riders ,if there isn't such a thing lets form one group ,m sure there are many owners from Pune on this site

                REPSOL comes with STD brakes since internationally REPSOL CBR's carry a $500 premium which puts the STD Repsol in the range of ABS bikes.

                    front brake caliper is a consumable as per company policy in which regular wear and tear happens. unless its defective and very less used they wont change it under warranty.

                          Finally, got my loan approved after lot of hassle, thanks to the verification guys of the HDFC Bank!!!

                          Getting the bike this coming friday, I had already booked the bike at time of applying for the loan. Now, when I asked the showroom guy, if I'd be getting the 2013 or 2012 manufactured model, he said that 2013 model would be available from March end onwards, and I'd getting the Dec end manufactured model.

                          So my question is should I wait till March or get this week only?
                          Are the Dec manufactured models are working fine without any issue?
                          By the way, going for the Red color.

                            IMO the 2013 models doesn't have any difference other than the color. If you are anyways planning for Red, go for it.

                              Thanks Sid, I'll definitely go with the current model and will take the bike on Friday!!

                              I've the PDI file with me but don't know if its updated, so if possible, can someone get me the updated PDI??

                              In another forum, I read that an owner took the delivery of the bike, and after riding 50-60 kms, changed the oil and oil filter, is that fine to do so and should I also do the same?
