I touched 1 bar fuel-level once. And it osciallted between 1 and 2 bars for about 6-7 kms before firmly settling on 1 bar. So, based on that i could guess it would be under 10 km. But, I do not know that for a fact and i don't want to be the one to find out either :POriginally posted by manu4j1 View PostBajaj Pulsar 150 : 2004-2005

People here might remember I had mentioned about a radiator issue where the fan was not able to bring the temp down even after running for quite some time.It could only hold the temp at around 1 Bar less than the max Value for Normal Region . Occasionally when I would shut the engine down with the Temp indicator one less than the max value for the normal region, it would just fill the entire Normal region for a moment and would come down immediately. I was kind of OK as long as the temp doesn't cross over to the high range.
But now yesterday the temp kept at the max Normal level for a prolonged period and would only come down one bar less after a long while. It did not cross over into the H region though. But given the trend I'd expect it to soon do that. Gotta take the bike to svc for sure and ask them a thorough check of the radiator and coolant circulation apparatus. MY coolant level is OK and engine oil was changed not so long ago.
Wondering what can be a remedy? A full raditor replacement ? or may be coolant replacement ? Or may be my bike is running hotter than other dukes due to some engine problem ?
Aaarrghhh.I'd really hate waiting there at the svc this weekend.

Hi @Doga, where would you go for servicing this weekend? Will it be Shreeram Bajaj servicing at Ghatkoper? I am planning to take my bike to the same place this Saturday due to the annoying Khat khat noise. It is more frequent now. I do hope its the chain issue and nothing more.

engine got siezed up
Hi people, i would like to share that how the duke is becoming pain for me.
It all started with the coolant which usually get disappeared from reservoir offently with ride of 800-1000 km. I did 6 service visits in 2 months and people there were not able to find even the fault, drained out coolant and engine oil 3 times.
Then i got shifted to Chandigarh from Delhi in january first week. After 2 months i.e 1 March morning I heard knocking noise from engine, went to service center and they said the engine is partially siezed up. I was shocked becuse neither bike get overheated nor there was problem with engine oil. The bike is there at service center from more than 2 weeks. At service center the engineer told me that there was slug or rust formation kind of material found in cylinder block which caused this seizing. Its very unfortunate that bike made for high performance wont even performing normally. Disappointing.
