I really dont think there will be any difference in both the parameters mentioned above with the R15 tyres.... very slight difference due to the tyre's weight may be...Originally posted by jenimu_kanna007 View Postthe mrf tyres in yamaha r15 can be fitted to pulsar 200ns how about the pick up and topend mileage etc now i'm using motul 3000 15w 50 cn i change to motul 7100 odo reading 4650

i agree with u on this 100%Originally posted by nishant.sukharia View PostA little less tyre pressure increases the contact surface between the tyre & the road & hence more traction...but its NOT advisable***
But the weird thing is, very recently I fill the tyres with the following -
Front - recommended tyre pressure
rear - +2psi than recommended i.e 34psi
am now somehow finding that the bike is riding smoother over the bad roads..!!
sigpicRelationships change, evolve, and it goes deep.
Only thing I can say - "The storm is coming"

Mujhe bhi koi race nahi karni haiOriginally posted by broken87 View PostI can understand the need for better "grip".. but so much disbelief in Eurogrip tires does surprise me.. cause they seem to do a fine job for everyday use. Koi race thodi karni hai bhai. They also suit the look of the bike.
btw, isn't it true that we should avoid depressing clutch when turning & fast cornering ? that throttle control is necessary for the required grip & traction when in corner ? apply this & see how the grip feels bro.
Also guys does Tyre pressure affect grip as well ? Like.. I always ride alone for now but I think I maintain above 28psi which is recommended for riding without pillion... if I get it down to 28psi it'll help with the grip or worsen it ?
I was fine with the eurogrips but due to recent accident I don't feel comfortable at all with them. However, after that I have adjusted my ride style little bit. I never depress the clutch during the turn, know that rule from long long time. Well i keep the tyre pressure at 30.

PSD too costly for me & don't like to alter with recommended specs. So MRF revz its the final choice thenOriginally posted by nishant.sukharia View PostMost of the guys owning the NS have opted for the REVZ-S 130/70-17 ( R15 one )...
But the best tyre for grip is the Pirelli Sport Demon , but its not easily available in the market nowadays as it wasn't ISI regulated...
And if you want to upsize it you can go for Dunlop Tuff Grip 140/70-17...but I think Revz-s would be good for you...

Watch this from 2:00....
yes its monsoon and yes THOSE are the EUROGRIPS.....
I re-iterate that those are not the best tyres... but at the same time its not that bad....
I have done 15000 kms (including 10% commuting) on my NS and I can vouch for it....
Else I would have changed them by now.....

hehe...NS is a strange bike indeed...Originally posted by Shibadip View Posti agree with u on this 100%

I am running with the same tyre pressure like you...around 32-34 psi ( though I told the guy to fill in just 28 but he over did it
)...& from the past few days I often get a feeling as if the bike is floating on the road...in fact too smooth to believe that its a Pulsar !!!
Btw , I got an invitation via courier from my svc some days back for a free check-up of my NS...& got the horn replaced ( under warranty ) as it was malfunctioned & wasn't working properly...
The invitation said "Get your NS checked by the guys who invented it! " , but when I went there I couldn't see any new faces
Maybe Bajaj is just trolling us NSers

ATGATT! There are many wonderful riders/drivers out there who would intrude in your riding space without any notice. Be prepared. Stay Safe.

yes i can understand the accident part lol !... cause I also was involved in a minor accident 2 weeks back as I stated previously in this thread. If u weren't aware my bike had hit a giant stone at 60-70kph. I flew & had a very wobbly landing few meters away. but the handling of our NS bhai... that is what kept me from falling. Also the Tires played their role i believe ? anyways.. both my Tyre rims were damaged, torn & had to be replaced. However there is not a single mark on either Tires. these like puncture & bhushht resistant Tires lol ?Originally posted by ankur2smart View PostMujhe bhi koi race nahi karni hai

Yes, exactly. Team PTR's verdict on 200NS is one of the reasons I felt so confident when I bought my NS. They've said alot of positive about it's components.Originally posted by surojit View PostWatch this from 2:00....

Also your own experience of 15000kms with these stock Tires assures me even more now.

I would suggest not to change the stock tyre size of 130/70 rear. I beleive it serves the bike perfectly with adequate overall performance.Originally posted by jenimu_kanna007 View Postwhat would be happen if we fit 120/70 in pulsar 220 in 200ns if it affect the bike performance and grip ?
If you fit the 120/70 from Pulsar 220, it would change the overall gearing of the bike slightly and may provide you more performance and efficiency at a definite cost of very useful grip. Its definitely not my choice though..
Happy Riding..

Same dimension tyres would act same apart from their grip, some might act more gripper some won't due to components used in tyres.Originally posted by jenimu_kanna007 View Postif pickup and mileage point of view we have to stick with tvs eorogrip tyres no other go.....
Stick with stock dimensions, get some better tyres of same dimensions.Originally posted by jenimu_kanna007 View Postwhat would be happen if we fit 120/70 in pulsar 220 in 200ns if it affect the bike performance and grip ?
It will effect the handling of bike for sure! Please don't go with that. Try for some better hill shoes.Originally posted by Speedshift View PostCan anyone tell me whats the rim width of Yamaha FZS...?? I am thinking of switching to MRF Revz 140/60 r17 to get the ride height lowered by a few mm. Though it'll look a bit odd on our NS rims but will surely help in getting a better footing on the road... but somehow the rear rim of FZS seems wider
Good option. Reduce it, till it doesn't effect the butt in long rides!Originally posted by rixBhp View PostDid you contact the people who does the upholstery work? May be they can reduce the thickness of the sponge of the seat by an inch or so.

Just a quick comment on the stock eurogrips.. I just covered around 900km over the last 2 days (total 9500km till data).
My group had a r15v1 r15v2 and a cbr250. Never did i feel that the NS lacked grip (as compared to the others) and i could keep up and even lead the others easily on the twisty ghat sections. Our average speed was between 80-100 and max 135 with luggage tied to the rear seat.
We had quite a bit of night riding and on 2 occasions i had to slam the brakes at high speed, and the bike never skidded or lost composure.
On the other hand i have never tried the MRF on the NS, so i cant say how much better they are, but I have never felt the stock tyres lacking.Last edited by Red_Redemption; 12-31-2012, 10:11 PM.We are so busy watching out for what\'s just ahead of us, that we don\'t take time to enjoy where we are ~ Bill Watterson
