Looks Really great....!!
Awesome grip...nice cornering but puncture prone being soft compound. The next best after PSDs.

Hey guys,
Hope you all enjoying riding...
I have been thinking, there are some issues with 200NS which are faced by most of the users here, and I am sure by others who are not xBHP members. The issues may just be some niggles which can be sorted out by SVC easily if they decide to, but some are definitely grave issues which only Bajaj can take care of at engineering level.
Can we use this xBHP forum to decide upon all the issues which are common to 200NS and which should be noted by Bajaj?? Bajaj should do something about it. The owners love their bikes a lot and any issues with the bike give them sleepless nights.
Do we have anybody here amongst the seniors @xBHP who can pull some strings at Bajaj so that all the issues can be conveyed to someone at Bajaj who will take them seriously??
I have tried mailing to Bajaj CC regarding some issues like tires, but didnt get any response whatsoever and the SVC guys are totally clueless about them. Two roads diverged in a wood, and I--
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference...

Even i was thinking the same.... I have one idea .....We can post the issues on Bajaj Pulsar Page on FB such as good tires required(as in some situations they are really very dangerous and can cause serious accidents) , option to owners to switch from Bajaj Dtsi oil to some other brand etc.... and other owners who ever are there on FB can comment on the same in large numbers so that Bajaj would definitely look into it...hopefully ...what you guys say?Originally posted by nilesh14587 View PostHey guys,

I have changed both the tyres....front with zapper fx (dat of fz and fazer)which is the best in this segment has also boosted confidence in handling of my ride...but the rear is mrf revz s jus serves the purpose not an extraordinary one but far better than the stock rear tyre.....I went for revz s as pirrelli demon was not available when I installed these tyresOriginally posted by smrutisourav View Postdoesn't look like original rear tyre...plz post tyre info...and a review according to changes in bike handling felt after changing tyre..ride fast but not harsh

I switched to motul 3000(i dont feel SS is necessary for my bike becuase of my riding style and daily rding distance)
about the FB page..whenever the page posts promoting the DTSI oil...majority comments are against it...still nothing is done...complaining n customer care by email...u will simply get we are working on it reply...
I dont find many issues.....u know ur bike gives u an average of 35-40 kmpl...accordingly u should be able to calculate when ur fuel is about to get empty..and the reserve indicator is enough for me..it lights much before we hit reserve and hence indicating soon u need to refuel..
the tyres i feel are adequate for normal use but for spirited ride and cornering..u need a better set and u are free to change the tyres...however if bajaj gave options while purchasing the vehicle...it would be nice
the vibration issues should be looked into by the bajaj engineers...and the BIGGEST thing bajaj should look into is training more mechanics at SVCs for our NS...otherwise i am satisfied with the bike and no isue is so major that it becomes a dealbreaker...
i have met R15 owners who want to sell off their ride because for them NS is a better machine and mind u..the engine of our bike is a GEM....
PS do not start a R15 and NS war here...its just what i observedPulsar 200NS parts list

I use motul chain lube n fuel level error is not an issue for a bike wid digital consoleOriginally posted by absarkhan View PostWhat i have discovered is that if you start the bike while sitting on it and its not leaning anywhere then the gauge is accurate, and when you start the bike when its on the side stand the fuel guage automatically becomes half, Which chain lube do you use @dipxmebhride fast but not harsh

Hi Guys,
This is my first post here, I'have been following this thread since it was started way back in June 2012 , And Thanks to all owners here for sharing all the pros and cons of 200NS, Which really helped me to choose NS upon R15.
I have already done 3800 km, As many owners even I faced some niggles on my bike but was sorted out later. I wanted to change engine oil at the first service itself but the guy at service center told me there would be some warranty issue if I change to some other oil other then the crap dtsi oil. Later at 3k Km the gear shifting was getting harder and some time when I down shift the liver used to get free then I took my bike to SVC during this time he allowed me to change the oil, So now I am running on Motul 7100 20W50 which is fully synthetic, And I found people suggesting FS only after 10k Km, But my bike has become much more smoother after the oil change. I don't have much knowledge on this so if any one can shed some info on why FS oil only after 10K Km?? which would be great.
Have I done any damage on my bike??? by changing to FS oil or is it alright or should I revert back to some SS oil.
Thanks in advance.

Even i have faced this...while quick down shifting to 1st when going thru a bad speed breaker...the gear shifter becomes free and gets stuck in 2nd gear...thanks to the good gear ratios u can very well pick up from that speed...Pulsar 200NS parts list

It's recommended to use FS oil after 7-10k kms but there's no way you would have damaged the engine by using it now itself.Originally posted by BS_Chauhan View PostHi Guys,

Majority of the run in takes place in the first 1000 to 2000 kms and the engine's parts (namely piston and cylinder walls) continue to get polished by constant rubbing for another 10k kms atleast. This means there must be a mild amount of friction between the parts without compromising good lubrication. Semi-synth oils do that job and hence are used between roughly 2000 & 10000 kms on the odo. Fully synth oils have very good anti-friction properties and prolong this 'polishing' phase, and thus a perfect ring seal to a very great extent, which is undesirable. It's due to this anti-friction property that you feel the engine is super smooth. But a well run-in engine is any day better than one that hasn't when it comes to fuel efficiency, pick-up, smoothness and non-leakage of the products of combustion into the combustion chamber. That's why FS is recommended post 10k kms.
I say again, you haven't ruined your engine, it's never too late to switch back to semi synth
Sarcasm is my automatic response to stupidity.

Any suggestion on SS oil?? again Motul will be great but what should be the oil grade for SS?? And can I preserve the oil and use it after I complete 10K Km which I will be draining out of my bike which is run ~900Km and I am already left with 700ml of oil from 2lt bottle which I bought.

). He strippd the bike. He even shook the fuel tank. Nothing was there, In d end,he made rubber pads for the places where metal comes in contact with the fibre. I did not hear the same sound after that, But,just now, it has started again!!!! Dont know what to do! Is anybody else facing the same issue??
