does the blue green look awkward in sunlight or anything ??
black is good but its very common in all bikes and it may heat tank more than other colours when left in sunlight..
please give ur views asap, i have very less time to decide.
Bro.. good to see u're settled on GS..... trust me, in presence of cons (i mean only rust), the bike will never let u down.. its awesome machine dude... the sheer riding pleasure makes u forget that crappy rust thing... IMO get the Blue.. it rocks ! very different color. Enjoy......

    • Friends,
I got by bike after the second service yesterday. The day before I had sent a complaint in the suzuki website and Mr. sibish was prompt to respond in half an hour asking the problem and the service center name. In an hour or so I got a call from the south regional manager Mr. Vinoth and he asked about the problem. I went to the service centre at around 5pm on the 18th... I got a lukewarm response from the SC guy who took my bike and wrote all the complaints. Another guy took my bike inside and asked me to leave and come the next day...... I was waiting for some time wanting to speak to the owner of the SC..... The moment those guys came to know that I had complained to Suzuki India, two to three guys came out and asked me all the complaints... I also had a chat with the owner and i got tremendous response after that..... Man I learnt that if you need good response, then log your complaint about the dealer in the website......
I had complained about the engine noise , choking, and brakes. All seemed to be rectified this time.... Will have to test and seein the highway if things are going on well.... As for now the bike is really smooth and i love it.....

I will go home & check out the pics because Flickr has been firewalled in my office

                  • GS 150R or CBZXtreme ??

                    Hi All..
First of all, thanks to all you guys for your valuable inputs and suggestions on the bike..im really looking for some help online on GS and this thread is quite helpful..anyway, my intro..
Im from Hyderabad and joined this forum just yesterday .Im planning to buy a new 150 and initially zeroed in on CBZX and GS150R..So, Test drove CBZX,Uni and GS 150R..Im so bowled over by the GS that, a day later i went back to the showroom to drive it once more and those guys are kind enough to let me drive it again ..and i drove it for so long to make those showroom guys bother abt their bike. It was simply awesome, i felt techinally this is one of the most accomplished bike in 150 segment. i felt like i landed my dream bike..the bike was ticking almost all the boxes. This was all before i joined this forum..
Out of curiousity i started reading this owners thread and after few initial reviews, Sam and Hydbiker wrote them so well, i almost called the dealer to book the bike..but ,this rusting complaint, it really bothered me a lot. Though..even now, i dont see any major complaints from all of you except two...Rusting and Bike not starting even after 10 kicks or so..

But, i want complete PEACE once i bought my new bike..had many problems with my HH Glamour whn it was a baby, so cant afford another troublesome new bike playing on my mind . Rusting problem may not be there for every one, but i dont want want to take any chances with that..
I may be little pessimistic here but im apprehensive abt the quality of the material used if bike fuel tank and its neck started rustng with first 6 months of its life, Never observed a hint of rust on HH despite using it rough in rain and sun for more than 3 years.

Filling the take to almost 90% of its capacity regualrly is one solution offered to counter rusting and there are question marks about mixing small amount of oil in the tank. So, are there any precautionary measures that we can do beforehand without actally voiding the warranty from the company. I also felt during the test drive that Rear brake and gripping of tyres could be better, any body faced any issues regarding the same ?

Just because of this rusting problem, i almost backed off from GS 150R and thinking of going for the CBZX. But then, thought of taking a second opinion from you guys who are by now, first hand users of bike and experts in the matter.Any suggestions are most welcome. I could live happily with a CBZX , but if GS 150R is something better, i really dont want to miss it....Please help me out

Please don't rule it out only because 1 or 2 people (not even from Hyderabad) have faced a small issue. I have test ridden the bike&feel it is really the best executive commuter available. I would say go for it eyes closed!
The quality is very good&I don't believe you should have any problems.

Man... my suggestion is just close your eyes and go for it... rusting problem is not at all major, and just check your bike before you get delivery. Trust me, you will fall in love with this bike again and again if you are a hardcore bike lover.
this is my personal opinion about the bike... listen to your heart

Let me tell you - no one bike in the world is perfect. That is like trying to find Utopia! Each bike will have pluses and minuses (how small or irrelevant it may be). You know the solution to prevent this rusting, so why are you worrying, just try to keep the tank full! As the bike is perfect, other than this problem, I suggest go ahead and make this bike your own.
Your biking tells a lot about the person you are!

I agree to all the others.....the GS is a awsome bike.....rusting is a smaller problem compared....to the sheer joy of riding the bike....
                            its really awsome.....
As Abhi said above...each bike will have its cons.....no human being is perfect.....then how can you expect a bike built by a human to be perfect....

Even the CBZX has it own cons....no doubt it is a damn good bike....but the GS has certianly great features...than the CBZX.....mainly the...6th gear...the digital speedo.....also most importantly....vibs free riding...in higher speeds....
CBZX is already a common bike.....so just go for GS....it really has a excellent Road Presence....and you will never regret your decision....
as everybody said...the rusting issue can be taken care of....I am also living in Hyd....I do not think you will ever get a Rust issue in Hyd....

I just can't wait to get my hands on the bike....but it is a NO NO...forme till next month....as in my home they said not to take it...as it is not a good time for me....I don't know what all it is...I am just following it....

Finally.... bro.....just see both the bikes...and go for the one....which your heart really craves for.....in the end....no pros and cons matter...it is just the sheer joy of riding....

let us know what you choose....

                            • guys i chose the blue colour itself.. it looks good.. i feel blue will be more noticed compared to black.
i got to choose between 3 blue colour bikes. none had rusting issue. one had few scratches. i randomly picked one from the other 2.
only problem is i couldnt check engine sound or wheel alignment etc etc. only colour, dents, scratches.. stuff like that.. because the bikes had just arrived and even battery wasnt connected yet..
                              delivery is tomorrow..

if i find any defect with the bike tomorrow can i still reject it and ask for another bike(before signing the delivery slip obviously) ?
will they refuse saying teflon coating is already done, we can help you etc etc ??
                              hopefully there wont be any
