It was made in germany, Diamond light, 12V 55w/60; the packet read that it was better than HID xenon, it was meant for car lighting. cost Rs.550.
The shop also has the Halonix ultra blue 35/35w, but i got confused as to which one to buy.
Do you think the 12V 55w/60 would work in our bike?

Please help as i am planning to buy one immediately.
12V 55w/60 consumes some more power and you cant see its full effect as pilot lamps consuming 10W

Halonix ultra blue 35/35w is fine

Our default lamp Dim mode light falling area is wide and slim some thing like in this shape \/ but even the same make halonix head lamp in ultra blue dim mode light falling area is wide and broad so it is better.

prefer to pick for philips or osram 12v 35/35 in ultrablue or silverstar range.

@ Arish post your issue on suzuki website and see if it works

If i replace the pilot lamps with Pulsar LEDs, will then the 55w/60 work?

      • Petrol Tank Question

Today, i filled tank full petrol in my bike. It gulped an astonishing 18 litres, though there was already appox 2 litres left in the tank.

i checked the manual, but could not make out the full capacity of the tank, is it 15.5 including reserve or 18.6 litres?

Or is the HP petrol pump guys fooling people by putting less & showing more?

        Need some light on this....

          yeah both are possible

our GS petrol tank is capable of holding close to 19 ltrs and HP petrol pump guy is capable enough to fool us

any way till you finish another 200 kms always park the bike in center stand and make sure the ground is equal also close the petrol on /reserve tap while not driving.

I always park the bike in center stand 7 in proper stable ground, but is there a chance if i keep the bike in side stand the petrol might pour out, i thought, petrol tank is fully packed & no fuel can escape from it.

Also on my 1st service the SVC did not clean the carburetor, he just cleaned some transparent pipe on it. When 1 asked, he said they are company fitted & tuned, so not to fiddle with the carb unless any problem arises. Is this normal that in servicing the SVC does not clean the carb? I have used & serviced a lot of bikes, but this is new to me .

Pulsar and RTR bikes all use Mikuni carbuetors and parts of BS carb are bolt on fit on all Mikuni BS carbs...........so the answer is YES

For me i went after running 34km in reserve i went to Pondycherry co-operate society (government) owned petrol bunk, it consumes 20ltr ,that long way back when my bike is new ....and the last 2 litre takes 5 minutes to fill up to brim level ,those behind me irritated by this
Now This bunk closed due to strike by employees for 4 days ,I am searching bunk(reliable) .????

Yeah the same happened to me, the last 2 litres were taking eternity, a queue had developed behind me. The attendant was getting frustrated at not been able to fill the tank till the brim... I was surprised & was checking below the engine to see if some leakage is happening from the tank.. It was a really funny incident.

                    • Hey all,
I'm trying to fit pulsar 220's projector lamps in my gs. The workshop guy said the batteries of the 220 and gs are same so should work fine but need some wiring as the projectors are 55w and wont work with AC(I guess). Do u suggest HID in the existing reflector or should i go for 220's projectors?? I've already bought one set of projectors and now planning to make so space for them in my bike but haven't tested them in my batteries. Just want to know which one's better- HID or projectors???

First of all, a 55W Lighting system would emit enough heat to melt the stock reflector of the GSR head set.
Next, neither Projector nor HID would work effectively if the bike electricals aren't set to full DC.

Once you are done with converting the bike to full DC ,
It is better to go for the 35W HID 4300K BiXenon-you wont get into any legal complications or battery issues or reflector issues. The heat generated by a 35W Hid would be same as that of a 35W bulb. The light energy intensity would boost up.But a 55W projector system would melt reflector and is also very narrow spread.
