    Hi bro!
I am of your height and weigh 80+ kgs and could handle without trouble.
Believe in yourself confidently and I am sure you will handle it expertly.

Please tell what speed u r doing in which gear at these rpm as at 2k rpm u can not up shift , it is only above 3 to 3.5k rpm upshifts that the bike would not protest.
Other best remedies for jerks are injector cleaning and throttle body cleaning.
Now we have 4 guys who have done this ecu reset to eliminate the high speed lag and they all the fully satisfied.
HI. Jerking is comes between 2 to 3k rpm. And not in accelerate but on constant speed in gear between 1 to 4thth gear bcoz of too much knocking sound comes for engine. After sudden accelerate and than do constant speed in 2.5k rpm and u feel that bike need more fuel than its get.

Get the injector and throttle body cleaned and also get the throttle cable checked.
And if possible tell them to reflash ur ecu.

Guys its not a cruiser, to keep going in 2 k RPM, any body can correct me if am wrong. [emoji4] .

Keep your Dominar above 3k RPM, i have a rs200 and other than in 1St Gear i have never brought my bike under 3k rpm.

You guys are facing jerking and knocking because Dominar is not comfrtble under 3k RPM, not only Dominar, except cruisers, RE most bikes are not comfortable under 3K RPM.

          cheers.

Exactly my point but u know i told that to someone and was feeling offended so i avoided it.
But if it is real jerks like a fueling glitch than injector and throttle body cleaning can solve it. We have guys here in whatsapp group who have tried ecu reset and now they have no high speed throttle lag or missing feel.

But the photos you posted makes me curious.

                1. Is it an aftermarket visor that you installed? Where did you order that from? Can it be installed using the provision given for the number plates or do I need something else?

                2. Also about the lights, since the bigger one is placed on the left side of the bike, will it not result in offset throw of light? Is there any specific reason for placing it to the left?

All this flow of info is making me so excited. I can't wait for my D400 to arrive!
Thanks once again for the clarification. [emoji4]

I drove the Dominar today again at the Bajaj Showroom. It was my 5th test ride and I tried slowing it down on higher gears - 20kmph in 4ttb gear and the bike started jerking. I am not sure if it was a fault with the bike. Cause even my present bike the Discover 100 (I know I should not compare) tends to jerk when I drop the speeds to low on higher gears. The higher gears are meant for low torque high speeds while the lower ones vice versa. Can we have a look at the manual and see if they have recommended speed ranges for each gear? You are lucky ki it didn't stall, bike not comfortable below 3k rpm in 4th and 5th and in 6th least rpm should be 3.5k, is evem better.
Again i want to say we can not ride it like a 150cc or the 223cc zama where u can do 35kmph in top gear to its top speed. Bikes like domiar and d390 needs proper rpm for each gear, in the manual it is not mentioned only down shiftimg rpm and speed is mentioned.
In 5th gear at 3k rpm u can cruise at 50kmph but if u keep at 3.5k it is better as this is where bike make most of its torque 28nm and max at 8k rpm.
I have picked my bike from 18kmph in 3rd without stalling it. If ur moving from 150cc or lower u need to learn it for few days.

Wires running to the head lamp assembly looks like this

Out of these which is for high beam and which is for low beam?

I am planning to connect it directly to low beam, so that the aux will be lit during night (headlamp ON ) only

Exactly. I will be upgrading from the Discover 100 - a big jump according to me[emoji48]. And it will definitely take time to understand the bike's nature. I hope I don't ruin the engine during the run in.

                            .
That is called torque distribution in each gear to get descent fuel economy from the specific character of engine. Being a 35bhp engine if bajaj had given dominar same gearing like zma or other bikes then one might not be getting more than 15kmpl from dominar. We Indians need some fuel economy even from powerful bikes so company have to match the gearbox to utilise power in that way so that there will be combination of power plus economy.

Use correct gears as per speed, as d400 is new after some time when people will be used to it will not having problem.

Injector will not be choked in that short span of time since the launch so that bike start jerking due to this.

                              Just look at the RPM.
except for first gear keep the bike above 3.5k RPK (4k will be better).
Riding at too lower RPM, means you will end up with low mileage, jerky ride and earlier engine wear and tear.

Riding at too low RPM is as stressful as REDLINING the bike, occasionally is fine but regularly must be avoided.

                              Cheers.

Aux / auxiliary is a common term used to denote other lamps besides the main head lamp.
HID is a kind of setup with bulbs producing high intensity light at low power consumption.
