    Hey guys,
was wondering if someone could help me find a terminal to get a negative connection under the headlight assembly.

Im trying to connect a low energy accessory (12V) to the dom. have three cables +ve, -ve and ignition detection.
I had connected the +ve to the white cable in the large connector (marked red in the pic) and the negative to another
red connector (marked blue in the pic). But the tachometer display flickers and is always on in any key position , so
removed both the black and the yellow are just covered and hanging now (tried with 2 negatives (the brown and the red connector)
    and it always flickers).

edit1: so i fixed this with the below suggestion from IJS, hooked the negative up to the frame and it worked like a charm.

Negative terminal is mainly for earthing so connect the black wire to any metallic bolt and then see hopefully it would work if the other 2 wires are in right place. I have no idea about the big white connector you have marked in red.

        Hi friends,

I am facing a peculiar problem with my dominar's rear disc brake. When i apply the rear brake for the first time it gives a koo koo noise. Then if i apply the brake hard 2 / 3 times the noise goes away. Also, this noise become more with pillion. But the noise is not consistent. Someday there is no noise at all. But the very next day again the same noise. Initially i thought it may be due to dirty brake pads. So i cleaned the pads. Noise goes away for one day only. After that again the same story. Now i am cleaning the pads once in 2 days. Still noise is there. I am sure that noise is due to the brakes only. Because noise comes only when i apply the rear brake.

Please give some solution. This noise is really irritating me.

What is the condition of break pads , how many kms old, Did you check the Disk rotor for any uneven surface or sticky old stuff. The rotor could also be wrapped clean the rotor too with mild sand paper or a piece of brick. If nothing works out do try break bleed.

Do you live in one of the cities near sea shore??
Try changing pads. Could be a quality issue with your kit.

Thanks for the reply. Brake pad seems to be fine. 3200 km in ODO. Yes i am regularly cleaning disc rotor with a piece of cloth. Sand paper i have not tried. Let me clean with sand paper also. May be tomorrow i will try.

Thanks for the reply. I am in trichy, which is far away from sea shore. First i will try sand paper cleaning as Ijs told. If nothing works i will replace the pads. Lets see.

Have anyone installed sahayadi moto's handle bar risers ? https://www.sahyadrimoto.com/product...or-dominar-400

They mention it's 20 mm but they actually are 30 mm. I was not looking forward to installing 30mm ones as everyone else is selling max 25 mm risers. But, Sahayadi moto never bothered to reply my query if i need to change anything else ( like clutch cable ) for installing 30 mm risers.

so anyway, I got them installed today and I feel that gears now change with a bigger thud. I don't want to run my bike with stressed/half clutch. Anybody have any words for wisdom here ?

                  Hi Guys,
It's been long since I have been following this thread. Lost track of things. My bike crossed 9500kms, due for 3rd free service. The service engineer informed me that Front Fork oil and other stuff. Also that the rear Shocks Gas is to be re-filled. He has quoted approximate price of 4.5k for the service including normal Oil Change and other things.

Apparently, this is being done as advised by BAL itself. Can anyone please advice me on this?

Did you do too much offroad? Do you feel suspensiom awkward? Get it checked from a trustworth mechanic IMO they are trying to make money at 9500 km its too much serviving cost@Ijs

To stand and ride comfortably, is <25mm enough?

First consult and check with the owners manual, and i don't think you need fork oil replacement this soon if u don't go off road every day or live in extremely dusty environment. You can hold this thing for next service. There is no need to fill gas in rear shock unless there is an issue don't let them spoil ur setup if everything is working fine. Oil change u can opt and should opt for if you have done 4 to 5k after last change. Leave the suspension as it is for now.

Hey guys, I recently bought the Dominar 400 matte Black and it's due for First service in a couple of days.
I recently befriended a motovlogger, he told me that the bike polish used on gloss paint(which they use on all bikes in service centres) will affect the matte finish?
I am skeptical about that advice, so just wanted to a confirmation from you people.
                              Thanks in advance

He is right in a way , matt doesn't need the shine so gloss polish should be avoided on matt. Just a wash with good bike or car shampoo is good enough. You can go for paint sealant and other stuff available for matt paint. Also avoid teflon done by service center.
