Harideep - I'm not the guy to recommend buying a bike on a loan, but the Dominar is just too good to miss.

You get ABS, good power for faster overtaking, and with the tubeless tyres you won't know you have a puncture. Trust me, the local mech will just put a stool under the bike, ask you to tilt the bike for them. But don't bother with fixing punctures on long journeys, just fill up some air from time to time until the tour is over. I've taken my punctured bike once on a 600 kms trip by just filling air to 35 psi before the trip. After the journey the psi dropped to 25 only.

Wow that will change the look of the bike completely. Would love to see the transformation, wish you good luck.

Agreed. Back in 2009, I remember finding a 2inches nail in my FZ's rear tyre in the middle of the night on Pune-Mumbai highway, putting it back in to seal the hole, forgetting about it in the morning in Khandala and riding it back to Pune, covering around 150 KMs with that nail still there.

I can't ride a bike with tube tyres peacefully.

Regards.

I think by mistake you have written 42 instead of 24 [emoji1] [emoji1]

I'm extremely satisfied with the mileage she gives.
In city I havent tested yet bro.
Before first service I was getting 29kmpl in city and 32 on highways.
Reached home today only after a trip. Will check in city in a few days and let you know.
Two days ago, got 35.7 on highway.. Today I got 41.8
Cheers.!

Harideep, glad you loved the bike. I'd say the Dominar is worth every penny.
It's a nice upgrade from 150-200cc bikes, would suit you IMO.

Yes, I have enough savings to consider Dominar. Thanks

Hello Friends,

This is my very first post on xbhp. I am KISHAN from Vizag. I am a CARDIAC SURGEON. I thank the mods for accepting my membership. I have recently bought a Moonwhite Dominar 400 ABS from the local dealer VARUN BAJAJ. Its been exactly 2 weeks. I was lucky to be offered the bike without booking as another customer had backed out. I picked it up on the very first day of DOMINAR's delivery in Vizag. A total of 10 bikes were delivered that day.

xbhp was a major contributor for my decision. I had stopped riding bikes about 10-12 years ago, when I sold my Samurai and shifted to Vizag.

I have ridden Dominar for about 200 kms only. (My work place is very near my home, and I don't get much time for evening rides).
I hope to munch more miles as biking is something which I like very much.

KISHAN

Hello Guys,
Today i was returning from office and there was a small pot hole... Bike was at around 50kmph. Went through that pot hole and alloy got bend.
Went to service center... they told me to go through insurance procedure. But i am not satisfied with the quality of rim. Writing a mail to authorities and lets see what happens.
It was a normal pot hole.. My apache has been surviving these types of so called "khadda" from last 6 years very effectively.

Beware!!!!!!

Alloys are weak. Service center people told me that there was another similar issue 2 3 days back and both rims got bend.

IIRC happened with Duke 390 first batch too. Bajaj is gonna up the quality of alloys in the next batch. Btw, what alloy are these? Emkay?

Else fuel pump will fry, petrol is the only source of lubrication for fuel pump.
