Post a pic of your spark plug and tps with full throttle.Originally posted by Krish1417 View PostMy bike was facing jerking issue (as i had posted earlier) and after that i maintained fuel above reserve. But still there is a huge lag between 2k-4k RPM, it's driving me crazy
Check if the tps starts to come out with opening of the throttle. I.e. As soon as you open the throttle the tps should start to come out.FAQs-RTR owners

[QUOTE=vishnu.leo;869202]Not at all...the RTR. in my opinion has got "no-nonsense", decent & inexpensive mirrors, designed to support ergonomics in its favour and as you rightly mentioned ,to curb the "roar"(read "vibes") so that fellow commuters & passers by do not get scaredOriginally posted by krrishi View Post

Thank you for the pics, the mirrors do lend an interesting touch to the beast, as said earlier they gel nicely with the overall look
OBJECTS IN THE MIRROR OF MY BEAST DO NOT APPEAR CLOSE- THEY SIMPLY DISAPPEAR !!!

umm guys, I heard the stock tires are slippery. I LOVE cornering. I've even set out a route to practice without creating public nuisance... Do I need to change the stock tires at the time of delivery? Can I get that done? Anybody using zapper C or vyde?Last edited by madhav766; 09-10-2012, 10:57 AM. Reason: Checked the FAQ for owners. But still need the rest answered.Don't matter what it is: Touring; Racing; Commuting. All I know is, I belong on the saddle.

Stock tyres are made for cornering , if you love cornering forget to change it ....

able to see the objects in the mirror quite well...maybe even a bit more ...but the problem is that the vibes cause the objects to be not clear..we can just see the vehicles but u know how it looks when a mirror vibrates ...Originally posted by shahbaz63 View PostWell tell us hows performance of Mirror at the time of Vibes ? But things change in the 4.5k 5k range(the vibe free time) and also during high speed :P-(can see things clearly again)
i would advise you not to change them if you want to see the images clearly always.
yep. TVS tyres do well in corners but no when its wet or on loose gravel..then again thats common for any tyre isnt it.Originally posted by shahbaz63 View PostStock tyres are made for cornering , if you love cornering forget to change it ....
hard compund does cut costs :P (eliminated the need to change the tyre often)
(did a full burnout just for trial-"not stunting" -personally i dont like stunting . after the run , just a simple wipe removed the dust. leaving the tyre just as it was, no scratch :P)Just your friendly neighborhood panda. @thebigfatlazypanda

STock tyres are best for cornering (dry roads), just came back from a 755km ride (to and fro) in the hills and was almost doing knee down on every corner.

I too came back from 650kms ride. Tires of TVS are really good, I cant tell about other's bike's tires but the performance of the tire on my bike in wet was also quite good, I rode almost 100-120kms in the rain and the tire did a good job.
Also got a very good mileage on the trip, 46kmpl from a 42000kms(38 months) old bike.

SirOriginally posted by madhav766 View PostPrateek sir, i wanted to know specifically if I have to check anything up on the ABS... I dont have any clue about how things should be or look...
The only time I've come across an ABS version is when I test drove and like a fool I din pay attention to it...

I Am not old though I might look old
Take a test ride , you will yourself know when you brake.
No, they wont allow you to change. I have recently done knee downs and toe scraping both uphill and downhill on my bald 30k kms old tyresOriginally posted by madhav766 View Postumm guys, I heard the stock tires are slippery. 5k - 7k is the band when it vibrates a lot, it will be the same for you. Are you experiencing the vibes eveytime, in all gears?Originally posted by shahbaz63 View PostWelcome Abhii good to see you back here ...

My one of frnd too has a RTR180. I once rode it as he asked me to see if there is any major issue. His bike too felt lot of stressful and had lot of vibrations, there wasn't any power drop, though my bike once had, but I think all that was just because of improper tuning. I'm not sure if same is the case with your bike, but you can get it check once.

Yes post 3k vibes are there for all time... My bike was maska before I can feel its power & torque when twisting the throttle but now its like bike engine working hard at 4k too..... And I can feel the tension at Throttle too, AsAP i twist throttle post 3k it seems like very sticky or very tight ...previously it was Responding very well....Originally posted by prateek2210 View Post5k - 7k is the band when it vibrates a lot, it will be the same for you.
