  • Changed oil to Petronas Sprinta 10w40 SS oil, cost 220 INR as it was an old stock.Didn't get hold of Shell AX7 in my city, so had no other option as i wanted to stick to that particular grade.

    • Hello everyone, happy to be a part of the Tribe! My 4th free service for my RTR 180 is on its way as I am in pune right now, I thought of doing it from here itself. My friend suggested me Rushabh TVS on nagar rd (ram wadi) if anyone has done service from there can please suggest their service quality & can also give other nearby options. Anyone tried LED indicators? I am looking for one or will do a DIY!

      • One thing which I've noticed is that our bike has a plastic like coating on the metallic parts over the paint. There are 2 places on the tank where this coating is peeling off. Any idea as to what the coating is and whether i can put a new coating. BTW my Bike has completed 10k today exactly 8 months after i bought her. Has been a wonderful experience Hope many more miles to be done with her!

          The stock size is (90/90 17 - Front) and (110/80 17 - Rear).

          1. Can i downsize both the Tyres to the ones from R15 V1??? i heard that it has quite a good grip. The tyre size of R15 V1 is (80/90 17 - Front) and (100/80 17 - Rear).

          2. Or i can go for the front tyre of R15 V2 which is (90/80 17) and the rear tyre of R15 V1.

Which one of these two is the better option??? the reason is that i couldn't find any good set of tyres (grip wise) for the stock size of RTR 180.

Advice is a form of nostalgia.
Dispensing it is a way of fishing the past from the disposal, wiping it off, painting over the ugly parts and recycling it for more than it's worth.

          • Please go ahead with your idea. These are the best tyres you can get for RTR. Both the front and the Rear R15 V1 tyres offer excellent grip for the value of money. Only down side is that these tyres are soft compound tyres although grippy but also quite easily prone to punctures.
So if you want to ride on bad roads and want more life of rear tyre go for Honda Dazzler rear MRF tyre 110/80 x 17.But the grip level will be less compared to R15 tyre as this is a medium compound tyre. MRF tyres are better than TVS anyday as TVS are real hard compound tyres, they last long and are extremely puncture proof but offer dismal levels of grip and skid heavily on Wet surfaces. So change TVS tyres fast.
Dont go for 120 section tyre it does not add any practical value because of size.

No! Here, higher RPM stands for anything above 5K.

And avoid using SMS or "kewl" language here (referring to "mah" in your previous post).
                            Anyways, welcome to the tribe

It does not depend on the manufacturing date. All non-abs RTR are AC/DC and all abs are full DC
