Hi all,
This is my first post here and believe me ive read almost all te 500 + pages here in less than a week..
I am going to buy a bike.
Ive always liked the Apache RT 180.. for the performance at such a neat price..
I know the ABS is around.. So ive been waiting for it..
But i heard its price as same as that of the P220.
Can anyone please guide me on which out of these three should i buy.. I have rode the P220 F and loved it too for the amazing speeds it can achieve withing seconds..
So this is what ive short-listed : The Apache RTR 180, Apache RTR 180 ABS or the Pulsar 220F ..
Please advice. Which one should i go for..???

never mind
If u want a bike with great cornering and pickup then go for RTR 180 + if u would like to have a peace of mind while braking then RTR 180 ABS is for u
Don't know any thing much about the P220F but i think it has great stability on highways.FAQs-RTR owners
For me its never been nor will ever be my DL, For me its always been and will always remain my RL {Riding License}
I confess that I ♥ :
*Being ogled at while waiting
for lights to turn green
*Fielding queries from massed onlookers
*Pushing dream bikes to their limits
*Blasting past slowpokes
*Hoiking the front wheel
*Scraping a knee around corners

You can use any other brand of oilOriginally posted by pranav_salieri View Postim planning to change the engine oil.bikes done 3228 on odo/this TVS engine oil truly sucks.please suggest a good one.also i want to add HID bulb and convert the bikes electric system to DC,please help me with this.
I prefer MOTUL. And you can switch to either semi or fully synthetic... Just stick to xW40 grade...
And regarding mods, you will lose warranty. Don't think the mods are worth it right now. Log in a few more kms

Use a semi synthetic for now. Castrol Power1 is what I would recommend. I have experienced engine heat ups too with tvs mineral oil.Originally posted by pranav_salieri View Post@all-what oil should i use full synthetic or semi synthetic????is it true that tvs engine oil heats up the engine quickly or is it just me?

Yes, the ABS is full DC. Buggers! Not sure about the tyres. But even the 180 stock tyres are soft compound. Maybe they have used the "high tech" tyres with hard compound in middle and soft compound on sides...Originally posted by smart_smarth007 View PostDoes the Apache RTR 180 ABS come with full DC electricals?
Ive heard that it has softer compound tires? Is this true..? When can i expect it in Delhi?

^^ the "RIDE SMART WITH ROAD SENSE" tyres

Anyways,
Guys, as I was bugged up due to high vibrations and engine heat-up even at good tuning, today I checked the engine oil level so as to check it out that if the bike is running with less engine oil and the engine oil getting burnt away with fuel or going away by any means (I think its burning because I can't find any leakage or engine oil).
When I checked the level, the stick was wet only about an inch
... I think that way too low and it definitely fishy as my bike ran hardly 400-500kms after the last service. I don't have time to go to the SVC in coming 2 weeks
... But thats not much of a problem because my bike will be used for hardly 20 odd kms (if used) till then. But, what are your suggestions about what all things should I get checked when I go to SVC?

If its burning oil, there will the smoke in the exhaust on start up. If so.. your piston rings have gone for a toss... Pray thats not the case... and if oil is low, top it up atleast. Dont ride with low oil level... it will kill the engine!Originally posted by Garry_Menace View Post^^ the "RIDE SMART WITH ROAD SENSE" tyres
