it depends on road how smooth it is. I have done top wack of 137 and by god it was scary the bike was on its full threshold and handel trying to shake but i have holded it tightly. And when cross wind are going on even speed of 90 scares me some time. I feel the bike is not stable at high speeds the handel starts to shake above 125. for high spees runs p220 and r15 is best their faring helps them a lot and keep stable .Wese The best time to rip it is early mornings . Less wind ,cold air, empty roads, less pedestrians.
Well, I second Abhishek on most of the points, he's right that the bike feels unstable post 125kmph and sometimes even post 115-120kmph if the road ain't perfect. However, I don't find it that scary doing 90s in cross winds, though its surely not stable in heavy cross winds at that speed

A very reliable bike, been through 4 days & 1260 kms of continuous rains, bad roads, winding roads, amazing ghats..and yet not a single niggle on the bike!

A few good pics of my journey on the beast..
Nice to hear that and also to see you back.

Stick to mineral oils for atleast 2k kms, after that you can switch to semi-synthetic.Also try SHELL advance 20W40 mineral oil, pretty good oil.

Some days it takes up to 10-12 kicks for engine to start
      Any additional thoughts on this
Have you checked the idle rpm setting?Set it at 1.3k rpm when the engine is hot.Plus do check the air filter and carb setting.

      EDIT:Welcome back Nisnth,nice pics there.

The Apache is ever willing to red line each cog, but the Rider ain't. Enjoy RTR, Safely. Period.

Just for your info, 10W30 is the grade used by Hero Honda on their bikes. OK, so this grade is used in bikes too. AFAIK, fully synthetic 4T oils are not available in 20W40, 20W50 grades. FS oils come in 5W40, 10W40, 10W50 & 15W50 grades. You'll get good quality mineral oils and some with synthetic blends in 10W30, 10W40, 20W40, 15W50 & 20W50 grades from Elf, Gulf, Motul, Shell, Valvoline, etc., in addition to Tru4.

Yes, what you've said is right, W40, W50 grades are ideal for hot Indian conditions
