And The compression ratio after fitting the Big Bore and the FFE should be around 11.5:1, as per Joel.....
Sorry didnt get to check the figures utkarsh wanted. checked today but there are no figures like that. so i guess karkai is right. the best person to confirm would be joel himsef. email him or call him. i've always found him helpful with any query.

                • ^^ I think your bike's CR is near to 11.5:1 only, considering you read 180psi on the gauge.

You convert compression ratio into psi by multiplying it with ambient air pressure which is 14.7 psi. So, it's 14.7 psi x 11.5 = 169.5 psi.

Since the gauge reads zero at ambient pressure, so you subtract 14.7 from 180. 165.3 psi. You are almost there.

I believe, this is relative method by which you compare CR.

I think Joel can explain it much better though. Lets wait for his post...

                  • About TPS aka Throttle Switch

                    Guys ,
those who are having problems with hiccups/lag below 4k rpm or specifically 2.5k to 4k rpm, U can change the Throttle switch which solves most of the problem , and then clean the spark plug or Get a NGK Iridium Spark Plug .(Solved my Hiccup problem completely) Believe me, i never knew a spark plug could matter so much! Im feeling my bike is totally different! The Feel of the Engine is a Delight! Amazingly Crispy Engine Response!

Rev's to redline easily and its not at all breaking a sweat to reach 120..! sheesh! everyday i ride in ring road and im like whoooo wtf ! Its just super!

Has anyone Experienced this after getting an iridium plug?

Cost of TPS( Bangalore): Rs 95.
Cost of NGK Iridium Spark Plug: Rs 550.(JC Road).

Guys, had a OT question. Was thinking about switching to speed Petrol(Yes after the news today! ) Currently I have a little bit of normal petrol, say about 3 Liters. So is it okay if both get mixed up? Or Do I have to empty up first then later fill it up with speed? Please reply asap, as I'm gonna fill up by evening.

                            • @Mirhawk : Thanks buddy, you and every RTR will have more wonderful years with their respective RTRs

Gave my bike for the 8th service, even the svc guy was astonished to see the purchase date and the kms on the odo
Told him to check the timing chain noise and the gear shift problem which at times slips out (what I feel). Asked him not to change engine oil as it was changed just a week back with just 100kms usage. If he opens the engine then I might need to change the oil again (extra fatka ). The estimate he gave :
                              -Servicing : 250INR
                              -Chain Spray : 35INR
-Timing Chain : 700INR (Which I doubt ), anyone who have the part number in case I need it.
                              -Oil : 220INR (If needed)
                              -Oil Filter : 35INR
-Any other parts needs to be changed, he will inform me prior doing that.

Will be getting the Devil back either tomorrow evening or day after. Lets see what happens.
Its been days that I have not ridden her the way it needs to be... like a MENACE
