Your entire post is an eye-opener.Your case sends shivers to riders like me who wear helmet only on long rides and feel it cumbersome in city rides . Let we all be cautious all the time and ride sanely with care!

in 2 wheeler accidents, most of the times the rider is not at fault!
but what we can do is always use as much protective gear as possible!
get well soon mate! ur menace will be back in the action soon!

Its a mineral oil, as said by other's. But I wouldn't recommend that one, as My bike is currently running on it, over all I could gather was it increased vibrations and roughness a lot in the Bike. Personal Opinion.

Kudos To what You do Mate for us people to know this all!
      And Congratulations for the Magazine!!

Also Guys, will the accident parts be covered under insurance or do I have to pay up for it? Cause the damaged parts in My case are left front indicator plastic white cover and a scratch on the white part of headlight casing. So is fabrics covered? Rest is yet to be known, cause bike will be sent on Friday for check up.

Parts you have mentioned are plastic parts of the bike, you will only get 50% of the cost from the insurance company and for metal parts deduction will be based on the age of the bike.

Sure thing Bro. But, I don't think it's possible with our bike, it's chassis if you are serious.

Actually, our bike sounds great. It's sweet music and loved by many. For example, you could check out this poll conducted here in xBhp.

P.S. Your profile shows current bike is a Honda Unicorn Time to update.

The sound of our bike is certainly one of the best....that throaty sound is enough to quit any addiction you have but the sound of a plane in your hands is something else dude....

                    • Hi guys,

I am in the market to buy a new bike. I have almost zeroed in on the Apache RTR 180 ABS. But, before plonking my money on the bike, i was wondering if there's going to be an RTR 180Fi ABS version going to be launched any time soon? I don't mind waiting for a few months if there's going to be a fuel injected version.

P.S.: Sorry for the slight OT, i didn't want to start a new thread just for one query.

                      • An update:

7th service up for my Apache7305! The bike has completed 14000kms.
Shifted to Castrol Power 1 Racing 10W50(Rs. 699). Laying my hands on a can of Motul/Shell is a dream here at Pondy. The bike feels way different than what it used to be. Good or bad or same, time will tell me. Earlier, while running at lower rpms in the 3rd and 4th gears, on twisting the throttle instantly, there used to be a signature surge and the feel was magnificient! However, it is absent now.
The front sprocket was replaced for Rs. 156. I don't remove the gear shifter assembly and open up the case while cleaning and lubing the chain sprocket. So, the front gets left out everytime!

@Mirhawk: Take care, mate. Wish you a speedy recovery.
@Drifty: Thumbs up to the "DIY-Valve Clearance", mate! Checked your album on FB.

This is due to the grade of oil being 15w50, Xw40 is perfect for the bike, however svc use 10w30.

Man,you should have asked about the oil earlier!Pour nothing more than 10W40 or 20W40 oil of any brand in your bike. These grades of oil are more than enough for regular usage or for ripping purposes! Here is my review about the 15W50 oil.Switch to any 10W40 oil,Shell or Motul 10W40 will be best!
