There are 6 screws around the console (black plastic parts). Open them and pry out the black plastic around the console and near the tank. Then if you have a big hand, you may have to squeeze through!

P.S - fairing need not be opened.
    Got a $5 head? Get a $5 helmet.

Also, there is a better option than the accucharger, i.e. the RNG one I think. It had better ratings than the accucharger.!
&& my bike has not arrived yet. It'll arrive somewhere in Dec 15-20. But, I'll miss the ZMR. It was a very smooth & refined bike compared to the Duke which takes some getting used to.
Yes, RNG looks better and sturdier built.

Congrats on your new purchase! [emoji2] [emoji106]
₹70k for a 2.5 year old ZMR is awesome! Did you sell through quikr, olx etc?
The ZMR and the Duke are on two entirely different leagues! The Duke gives loads of fun and thrill, particularly around the corners with its great agility. The ZMR, on the other hand, is the benchmark of comfort, on long high speed cruises! [emoji4]

I sold through OLX. Quikr has very low response rate in my city. Got many responses from OLX compared to none in Quikr.!

Unfortunately, no I don't. My friend sent me abuses along with these pics as I was the one who suggested him the H7 bulbs for the new ZMR you can go to the ASC and ask them for the bulb.. They have it in stock if I am right..

Of course, I warned him against going for Osram Night Breakers as they are costly. Asked him to go for the H7 bulbs of Pulsar 220 as they are cheaper..

Hey, I was removing the bulb and when I saw it, I recalled the extra pair of H4 bulbs that I got with Maruti Swift. So, I checked and it was a perfect fit! That bulb too was a 12v 60/55W but they company was jagoon or something(like I said, they were stock bulbs).

One problem that I had was that the clip that was supposed to be attached with the bulb with the bulb holder, I couldn't refit and screw it.

So, I just attached the bulb and replaced the black rubber band-type thingy back.
Another thing, I saw that when I turned on both the headlight and indicator, the light dimmed. Is that normal ?

                  Thanks
PS should I keep the stock headlight bulb or should I still go for the Philips that i ordered(I will receive it in 2-3 days).. ?

Yup. Most passenger cars with a single barrel headlamp use H4/HS1 bulbs and you may use them, provided they are 55/60w ones.

One problem that I had was that the clip that was supposed to be attached with the bulb with the bulb holder, I couldn't refit and screw it.
If this is the metal clip you're talking about then yes, you have to put it in place else the bulb would fall out of place. You have to push it to the far end and then slide it bottom to top until it latches in place.

So, I just attached the bulb and replaced the black rubber band-type thingy back.

Your battery may be weak, or it didn't have enough charge when you carried out the bulb swap. Ensure you do not run the lights without starting the bike.

PS should I keep the stock headlight bulb or should I still go for the Philips that i ordered(I will receive it in 2-3 days).. ?
Keep the bulb that gives you most satisfaction. If you're happy with Swift's bulb, you can safely go ahead with the same.

Jagan bulb which comes as spare with maruti is power hungry cheap bulb. I have it now , need to change soon. Even the illumination is worse than 35w stock

I was waiting for it to get dark, so that I could try it...(going to try it pretty soon)
And about the power consumption, I think you might be right...

                        ----consecutive posts auto-merged-----

Just tried the light in the dark and i would say, its not too bad. I'm the kind of guy who rarely travels at night, so for someone like me even if the bulb consumes more power. It won't be a problem as it will rarely be switched on.

Divya Bhai, I messed around with the low and high beam screw and now I'm not sure if its correct.
On low beam, the light spreads in from of me and covers the full road but the light is less. On high beam, the light is concentrated at one point unlike the low beam but the distance both low and high beam cover are the same.. I.e. Both cover the same distance, it isn't like high covers more and low covers less

Is it supposed to be like that, is there a way to check and correct if needed ?

Bhai the thing is that I lost the screw that held the metallic clip at it's place. The screw fell somewhere in the bike, I'm not sure where

One more thing, what are your thoughts on clutch less upshifts ? I tried doing them on my zmr after service but it only worked twice after that no matter how much pressure I put under the shifter, the gear didn't change(yes, I fully closed the throttle)

                          Thanks

Visit a local garage and they'll help you out. Its a universal screw. Also, get the beam aligned by them.

Regarding clutchless shifts, they can be done while cruising on open roads, not ideal in city with frequent shifts. Also, you can do it successfully only in higher RPMs (>5000). Don't chop the throttle fully, just close it a bit and apply slight pressure at the gear shifter (simultaneously). Then blip the throttle a wee bit and voila you'd have a perfect shift without (noticeable) suspension dive. It's an awesome feeling.

...But I always thought it'd shorten the life of the gears and clutch! [emoji15]
                              Is that not true?

It's indeed an awesome feeling! [emoji2] but I almost always refrain from doing it for the above notion I have.

Because it is clutchless, clutch life isn't affected. Whether it causes harm to other components is a highly disputed topic. Therefore, you have followers both for and against this practice. However, once in a while shouldn't cause much harm.
