I always keep 1 fuel filter under the seat area... and one in my backpack... donno when it will go bad.. and I might need a new one

Wow!!! Now that was simply amazing to read! My old Shogun's fuel filter has been just changed once in its entire life... until last year it was running on the original filter. That too because it suddenly started leaking petrol, not because it was clogged. Either your Pulsie's filter is ultra-fine or you are using VERY dirty gas!

... it actually depends on the kind of fuel we put in our bikes, but on the other hand... the fuel filter on the P220 filters to a very greater extent so as to not let even the minutest impurity into the fuel injector and hence the fuel filter getting clogged more sooner than ever and thus saving the Fi injector.

Btw... I never knew this funda about fuel filter change on my older bikes... encountered this kind of thing on the P220 only

          • Thats really strange! I wonder how my FI car went upto 45,000 km without any fuel filter change... and this too was done as a routine, not because it was clogged.

I suspect you are using very dirty fuel.

Its not just with me.... the service centres change the fuel filter at almost every service.

5K Kms is the replacement interval for the fuel filter for the P220! It goes down or up by a little margin if depending on the quality of fuel.

Fuel filters for cars have a much longer life. I've used a M800 fuel filter for my bike for 5K kms without any chokes whatsoever.

The FF for the 220 is quite fine and small in size and thus needs replacement sooner!

^^ The fuel filter looks a bit black. Don't worry about the color!

The PBK guys change the Fuel Filter as per the service schedule at the 3rd service i.e. around 5K kms. Also another thing I have observed is that the first fuel filter i.e. the ones that come with the bike from factory actually do last a bit long. The replacement ones don't usualy last that long!

Fuel Filter hardly cost about 40 bucks get it changed every 3K kms or so!

                      • Any idea about the price of the high beam setup of the p220 (If the ellipsoid is detachable). Also I want to verify that on high beam only the ellipsoid glows.

I have a spare 1 5 headlight at home and wanted to do some modding. Damn, the entire pair of 1 5 headlights costs 2.1 K.
