Dust accumulation on the piston. Did a complete overhaul removing the pistons and cleaning it up, but it did not work. Now at almost 1L kms, I don't think its a bad thing either.

My KBX brakes bit HARD all this while, I have never till date faced any issues with the rear braking. In fact its been more than accurate until now!

Yup..!! I second that, the KBX units are really effective. Me still running on the kbx...!! The front rocks as always..!! with the recent issue of the pad wear, testing out another pair if problem persists , i will be shifting to bybre.

BTW, some svc are not stocking the old model pads for the kbx ones, the bybre has a different setup na. Just a heads up.

Nope mine stocks both KBX and Bybre. I am waiting for a quote from them on the price of the KBX caliper set, if the price difference is large (as per my pocket ) then I might just stick with KBX.

Any body knew the actual topspeed of volvo buses?i think they do speeds less than 110kmph but all other guys in other forums claim speeds above 135kmph.

And my daily commute dashes with the monsters timing but since they near city they do less than 80 kmph, and fearing them i actually cancelled my plan of taking my bike on a road trip and opted for carpool and hate tamilnadu because has most number of volvos plus BUS FANS yeah read it again BUS FANS who think by travelling in a fast bus and bullying others means they have won an F1 race.

And some what happy that with 220 i can stay away from them in four lane highway near chennai(chngelpet-tambaram) and which was a dream in twister any way feeling pity for other bikers who fall prey for them.

But why? I think it's useless for a tug of war with exotic buses! As long as people in the bus admire you v that'd be more than enough to make your day.

Have had experience of the volvo multi axle buses just effortlessly floating past me along the cochin highway , without as much as a slight sound from the engine..!! and I was doing about 120kmph(was doing a speed test, I hardly cross 100k ), I was driving my car that day.
I would never dare challenge with them, but in this occasion they just sprung in from behind like a ninja..!!! Maybe the main reason one must be careful of those high speed monsters..!!

The city volvos are limited to 110 (Varies from city to city)

But the highway volvos are faster. I've personally seen a B9R do 135Kmph on the GPS, I think the B7R's top out at 120's.

On the 220 can't risk it with the B9R's, they are way too fast. B7R's to some extent its possible.

I don't think a security alarm would ring if someone cut the spark plug wire, only if some wire directly connected to the alarm system is cut then it *might* ring.

jus realised that the pickup lag was basically due to the extra long fuel pipe from the filter to the injector....since the new pump has a diff setup....gosh....my filter developed a crack....spraying petrol over the engine like water....was scary...had to go for a 30 km ride with a hh cd deluxe to the main workshop to buy the filter.....fixed it myself....pipes werent available...bought some injector hose from a maruti suzuki service shop...(much stronger pipes than the polyrub one's by bajaj) ...got some hose clamps too...went home...fixed everythin in half an hour...and now it runs like a horse on steroids.....heeeee haaaw!!! :P .............. by the way...while revving the throttle...i experience certain jerks in the increasing throttle...and idea on this?? relay prob??

i suffered a lot because of a stupid bus cant avoid them when they dodge you...
we were in the left lane when the bus overtook us and the rear slightly touched us when he tried to give us cut around 100kmph and another stupid verna was overtaking us from left most cyclist lane with two tyre off the road which got touched by our indica and it toppled and we suffered a lot at police station and verna driver had given statement tat bus had hit him thinking he completely over took us and the bus who was jumping to leftlane might have hit him. Finally case was registered against bus and we left at 11pm and we the accident had happened at 3am ...
because i was inside a cage i escaped or if in 220 i would have escaped from AL buses but was worried about volvo buses.

well there is already B11r launched and by the time B13r arrives i will be on P375 which i would have bought in my own money(banks money whatever) .

                    COMPLETED 30K IN STYLE!!
went to YELAGIRI non stop ride 420km .
statred at 2.30pm reached @5.30 and again return @9pm to home.
there was a summer festival so some minister was about to come and i had police gaurding me in every hairpin .
Fantastic ride and i planned timing so that there wont be any private buses on the road and i found only two of them but they were doing less than 100kmph
Had a problem with headlight which didnt get my attention in city but in highway it proved to be a disaster both headlights light up some left corner top side of the road like notice boards stating bangalore 100km gets light where as road is unlit

And after the trip there is too much sound from front wheels like siren and reduces when i apply front brake.

If those indonesians can convert a P220 into a Ducati Multistrada, then why not. It can. Anything is possible with a 220 Anything.

Unless you can fix a cowl to the engine compartment, the splashes shall be reduced to an extent, but that's almost a given in most bikes with the slush is above normal.

True air cooled engines as opposed to liquid cooled shouldn't be interfered. But hey, this is 21st century, in the name of looks, appeal and everything nice, people are just a notch above everything. Can't blame them!

Ween ween sound? Anything rubbing with the tire or disc pads rubbing against the rotor. Ween ween may be caused when something touches the rubber component, most of the times, or the disc pads rubbing against the rotor.

Disc pads cost some 250 bucks and in and around 500 for both, and labor depends from place to place, Bajaj dhakkas. But I usually change them myself (my mechanic)
