Thank you for the consideration (many people choose to ignore advise). I've seen some examples of riders (in this thread and many in the lighting thread) who have converted to HID projector based setups. Even if you're going in for a projector setup, remember to ditch the 8000K bulb, since it won't be any use except a 'show off' white light. Get something nearer 3700 to 4000K.

As for the second query, why not just get a Philips Xtreme Vision instead? You'll have more power than the stock 35W and yet more brightness for the highway. It will be much more useful - whiter than a normal halogen, but more visible, and you will not need to tamper with the wiring either.

Any chinese projector would cost you 700 approx. But its a waste!

ANY non OE HID+projector setup is a waste IMHO. See, you get a lovely looking headlamp assy, but you don't get what you wanted - visible roads at night. 8000k is a pain during rains for you as well as traffic. Getting a 4300k HID lamp is difficult, as most aftermarket (chinese) ones are ated 6000k and above. Genuine Phlips ones cost 6k for the HID alone.

Get yourself a 55w Philips XV or Osram NB+ and enjoy the light.

i have read earlier in this thread that many ZMA riders are suing Osram NB or Phillips XV with a relay. Would there be any side effects if one of these is used without a relay.

Without a relay here. Many others are using those bulbs without a relay.

Shirish, I have been using OSRAM 55/60w bulb for the past 6 years without any issues and without relay. Just a few days back, I setup a relay. And please note that these Philips or Osram 55/60w bulbs would give marginally better intensity than the stock bulb (which would be adequate), and don't expect to have a huge difference. With high power car/truck beams on highway, even this 55/60 is nothing, but it would illuminate better when its dark.

And I guess you asked me about where you can get the WD-40 spray. You can get it at any hardware stores in Ranigunj. If you wan't to buy online, its available for 300 INR for a 400ml can. Check Ebay.in

Hey Ravi. Thanks for the reply. Well i find the 35W HL inadequate even for the city use, atleast in lowbeam (i use low-beam 98% of the time). That's the reason i'm looking for the upgrade. With most of the vehicles from the opposite direction always in highbeam, it pains a lot as i cant properly see the road ahead.
Thanks again regarding the WD-40. Will try to visit ranigunj sometime and get it.

I just removed the front sprocket for cleaning and I am now confused which side of the sprocket faces out.The side with a ring or the plain side?

                            Guys, did a Chennai-Rameshwaram-Chennai recently.
My bike has reached 30,000kms during this trip. Except for the initial hiccup(like carb slide stuck) however did not shut down completely. It was just twice in between of 40-50th kms from home around 630am. After which the problem disappeared. Had a lovely run on Mobil1 10w40 FS oil. Superior acceleration, engine vibrations kept low, idle rpm stabilizes fast engine heating issue did not arise and my ZMA loves it everytime.
