Crazy idea!

@Navnish: I was planning to take a shotgun and hunt u down. I was asking u for air-filter as well. Anyways I got it! And I will email my requirements. Have used up all the earlier stock u gave me!

@All: Dont kill me for this. Was having a crazy idea yesterday. The FZ front has the same profile as the R15 rear at 100/80 - 17. The side-treads look similar with addition of the single middle tread for front. And I think the tire compound is the harder one. Why cant this tire be used for the rear on R15? This is available in abundance! Tire experts, comments are invited please!

wow. U have access to a shot gun .. yaar can you lend it to me for a day

whaaa what an idea. but i checked the FZ tyre it feels its hard not as soft as the R15 ones. but yeah lets see what fundas our inhouse experts give

apar:many people here have already done that...personally I have seen atleast 5 r15's with fz front tyre at the rear...This was also discussed in this thread...
someone said donot interchange front & rear wheels..the front i suppose has a middle deep thread for letting off water ..
other than that ,inputs from the people who changed it says that it offers the same comfort infact a little better on gravel roads& wet conditions

@Seamus: No drop in refinement levels.

@TnT: 30&35 works for me too, contact patch is less on cornering, but mileage&ride quality with pillion is improved.

well mine has only done 140kms ODO but yes a little tappet noise is there is it normal ?
lastly does it affect a lot in performance and smoothness if they are loose ?

I don't think tappets can get loose in 140kms.! It must be a fairing vibe, do check it out.

Hey wers my 3000k HID man :-)

@all are there no in house guys who have changed the tires to a Bigger better looking one and have the ugly thin tire @ home ???

I need that , Fz front will not do .

He he.. I have a spare one which has an inch length puncture(only dat 1

). If you can find a way to seal dat, I'll be more than happy to give it to u

So no FZ front for the rear on the R15? I currently have 4 punctures on my rear tire... Its almost slick!
+1 to what Jovin said. The MRF Chennai warehouse/distribution centre is the building next door to my office and I have been raiding them every week. They said the same thing.
