        • Ladies(if there are any), gentleman and bikers (neither ladies nor gentleman :-P) plz help me out!

I want to buy some riding gears online(paypal) from ridemall.com which is mainly an U.S. based website.
The riding gears includes helmets, gloves, jackets but the problem is that they ship everything inside U.S. only.
How can I ship those items from U.S. to India?
I really need help coz from last 10days am not riding due to lack of riding gears!
It would be a serious help if anyone can bring in the items from U.S. or show me some light on how to ship stuff from U.S.??

He is a dealer based in India who will get your stuff from the US to your doorstep for a small price. He is also offering a 10% discount though i am not sure if it will apply to helmets and all. He has been pretty reliable so far so no issues, you can check this dealer feedback as well. I hope this helps.
There's another dealer who will get you the stuff from US id is: Fizmall. But his prices are a tad higher.

                    U got me wrong dude..

The first yamaha bought in our family was our elder bro's Blue R15 which he sold out this june for upcoming chevrolet Cruze! (he's not much into biking)

2nd one is mine sunset red R15 gifted by my bro which i got this september.
Cribbed around regarding headlights and all, had arranged a fair deal of mods but unfortunatly my best friend testest my riding gear worth 10k on NH TERMAC last wednesday.
So here I am arranging the riding gear yet again, this time importing some good quality gear from U.S.
The primary concern is the riding gears, mods can follow.
But on the contrary I would be here with the mod pics in few following months, as soon as possible.

Here, we are awaiting our newest addition in family, the yellow R15 being gifted to my younger brother on his upcoming b'day by dad, which has been booked but the bike would arrive in a month or so due to shortage!

Hope this had cleared all the doubts!!

                    Regards
                    Shanz

                    • had a bad time today...me and my friend were planning to go on a trip to Ooty on my R15...we started at 10am but after going for about 10kms the clutch cable was broken...we had to ride in 1st gear all the way back to showroom, had a horrible time...after reaching the showroom they said that no spares were available and it would take 3-4 days for the spares to arrive...had to leave the bike there and cancel our trip....thank god the cable was broken in the city only...

i just finished my 3rd service 2 days back and my bike has done 6.3k kms...is there any kilometre limit after which we should change the cables...can someone help???

I was unaware of other half of the coin!!
Even I was searching someone flying home from uncle sam but alas! Nothing positive..
Then ate dust of diffrent shipping companys like uship, freigh forwarder, ramstr, shipping safe etc and finally had a heart attak (nearly) learning the price quotes from DHL!! DHL slammed the final bolt in the coffin and after recovering from that price quotation shock (they are quoting 20k extra for a 5k helmet and 3k gloves) i though to forget bout the US and Riding gears.
But before that gave it a last try on xbhp, yahoo answers and sulekha yellow pages, and wallaa! The mermedi struck, got some dealers and KMD which appeared as heavenly helper in the last moment!

Final verdict - applied for the price quote from kMD..fingers crossed, lets expect the best!!!

Yep it's a bit high but atleast an option in case someone needs something exclusive that's not available here and if doesn't have an relative/friend coming from abroad. Plus he delivers on time.

PS: I think you have the same id on TE as well.

What about the tyre hugger and the R125-like mudguard you were talking about? You said you'll do a minor welding for it which would be in warranty limits..

No doubt about KMD. He delivers alright. Besides i'm making a correction over my last post. It goes below.

Sorry i just checked my PM from KMD and i made a mistake. NY tax is 0$

But all products are shipped to NY before shipped to India. That is my understanding but it can and may vary depending on various things.

The price increase was with respect to certain other variable = shipping cost to india + NY based on the weight.

for example a 15 $ value item weighing 3lbs/1.5kilo will cost an additional 5$ shipping cost to NY and additional 1000rs+/- over its INR value for shipping. (750+250+1000). Depending on the USD/INR rates.

So the final price will apply based on the shipping price and custom duties which may apply to riding gears. As the item that i required was a consumable (food based i.e)

KMD is reliable as far as i know you can go with him.

Can u please PM KMD's quote for the items. I've not tried getting any riding gear from US...so far
