What i am looked for is..
Ceat Vertigo - 100/80/17 - Looked everywhere but no luck
    OR

      • ^^ i started my bike after three weeks or more today. fired up on the first starter, and picked up idle immediately.

          • Update:
Changed the oil & filter yesterday. What amazed me was the Motul 300v (15w50) I'd been using. It had done over 5000kms, and I got paranoid and changed it. But amazing thing is over 5k kms it just lost 50ml! I measured the level and the engine drained 950ml oil! Amazing!!

Also sorted out a few stuffs. Next I'll change the spark plug. Currently running the stock Denso one.
            You get the point?? :D

              • Hi friends..have got a few queries..please try to answer when u people get time..

                1. Filled nitrogen in tires.. (after emptying) don't feel much difference in the ride quality. What are the known benefits? and problems if any?

                2. Just completed 500Kms should I lubricate the chains? (have not ridden in heavy rain yet. lite drizzles, yeah two or three times)

                3. Want to choose the ideal chain lubricant. I understand either we can use motul chain lube (or similar) or Yamalube dry type lubricant. Yamaha dry type I understand is very efficient, less likely to absorb dust and slime, last long but also is costly compared to motul. I live in kerala and from next month onward rains would be a daily affair. I have read fellow members writing Yamaha dry type last long only if its used in a relatively dry environment. considering the price factor and also considering i would be riding in lite to heavy rain once a week at least..wouldn't in require frequent cleaning and lubrication even if I use yamaha dry type lube? In that case would motul be a better choice considering almost 1000 Rs difference in the price? please advice...

                • hello every 1..
my r15 is 2 months old and clocked 4.5k+kms..
i stay in mangalore, karnataka. there's only 1 service center here n which sucks to the core..

problems faced and not been sloved by SVC ppl : queeky noice from front shocks, chain rubbing sound from front sprockets for which they applied grease but my friends say we are not supposed to do that.Is it true??wonder whats the problem

some tips to be read by all new R15 owners..

1:the bike has got very bad off road grip so be very careful when u step out of the road..

2: never wash your brakes/brake pads with diesel or any other petroleum products..my rear braking efficiency has reduced..SVC ppl tell me to replace the brake pads..do you think it must b changed or has a simple solution?

3: get used to apply front brake rather then using back brakes..70% front and 30% back brake stops the bike immediately.

4: be very careful of sand and gravel while u are on a curve.

if u have solutions for my problems plss share it..

thanks for all the stat but i think r 15 may be smaller for me. btw when u r buying it do tell me u r exp and upload some pics.

                            hey people

i had just bought a new R15 limited edition. 1st service is done.... i have noticed that the rear disc brakes when applied often locks the tires and thus it results in skid.. and also i feel like the rear brakes are not performing well as it takes time to stop the bike.
                            please help me.....

                              1. R15 tyres are also bad in rain, so don't mess with your bike when its raining ride safe.

                              2. yes the chain sound comes when the bike is new as the chain makes its own adjustments, no need to grease it.. and for the future even if your chain is covered with rust never clean it. it is automatically cleaned.
for good life of the chain, clean the chain after every 500 kms.. many chain cleaners are available in the market but if you want the Yamaha one, that will cost you around rs. 1400 to 1600... and can be used for more than 20 times.
