change oil and top up coolant to tackle over heating. stick to yamalube. never use useless synthetic oils like motul, agip etc..Originally posted by free2rock_50 View Postbro .. i have checked the MANUALs and it says it will lid up when the engine overheats .. and its mentioned to Wait for sometime till the light goes off and not to ride at that time ..superbikes are the biggest blunders on indian roads.

Check for proper functioning of the cooling system. As in, check if the radiator fan is working, and then check if the water pump is functioning or not. But before checking all this, check if there's enough coolant inside.Originally posted by free2rock_50 View Posti have changed the old in my first service only .. change the oil every 2k kms cumpolsorily. do not wait for 3k kms.Originally posted by free2rock_50 View Posti have changed the old in my first service only .. Total Km : 2000 .. and coolant would not get over so quick i guess .. what else could it be ?

get the valve clearance corrected.
check if the radiator is leaking or damaged. make sure the thermostat and fan are functioning properly
if the bike still over heats sent a complaint to yamaha head office . they will get the bike checked by a company engineer.
also make sure that dust and dirt do not go inside the crank case ,by keeping the engine oil screw tight.superbikes are the biggest blunders on indian roads.

Hi friends i got my bike after all repairs yesterday from the showroom, but to be frank i am disappointed with the headlights.
firstly the low beam doesnt fall on the road but falls on left side even on straights and when i put high beam its on some sign board which is above 12 feet from ground.
Showed the showroom guys and they say its like this only.
Please help me out if there is some adjustments or if there is a way to change the stock bulbs with some other 35 watts so atleast i can see something.
Also i would like to know which is the lube you all recommend for the R15 as i bought the motul chain clean and lube but heard lot of negative reports about it so not used till now.

u can adjust the headlight projectile using a Nut/scew which is located behind the headlight .. adjust depending upon ur needs ... [R15 headlight focus and coverage is not as good as other bikes]
U can use Motul chain spray and cleaner .. its officially used by yamaha and recommended by yamaha
