Regarding the English, I am still pondering whether this bill qualifies for the Hilarious thread?! LOL

    BTW guys,
My bike is fully stock now and running without a filter, is that possible - experts say 'YES'
I think it does qualify for the hilarious thread.

About the air filter I would still say that keeping in mind the prospective damage to the engine in future you should have it replaced, btw is the entire peice been removed right from the carb or is it just the filter

I think you got me wrong there nadz11. I would take my fz over a pulsar any day. I was just wondering if its possible to loosen it. Its better off for really wrong journeys. It could also be a problem with my bike. I have loved and enjoyed every part of my ownership exp

Get the air-filter asap.. The dust would enter as there won't be anything to block it..

          Ride safe and have fun.

              Greetings all!

I intend to change my worn out front tyre of my Fazer which has clocked 18,000 kms over a span of 40 months.

I recently changed the rear tyre to the Medium Compound Conti 140-70 R17 and contrary to what most people say, I haven't found any problem with its grip at all.

I have the following options for the front:

              CEAT 90-90 R17

              Conti 110-70 R17

              Michelin 100-80 R17

Michelin seems to be the best option out here but will it cause problems with grip considering that they're offering the softer compound while I have the medium compound at the rear?

Which one should I go for?

              Thanks in advance!

Hi guys I am unable to find tyres for my Fazer. I have clocked 30k kms and have had 5-6 punctures + converted from tubeless to tube. Now its just too old and time for a change for my rear tyre.

I have called all the tyre dealers in Bangalore and I am unable to locate the original MRF Rev Z 140/60-17 Tyre from last 3 months

Any other brand which I can try or maybe any contacts to get a new tyre in Bangalore ?

                  Hello all!

This post, I am writing now, has nothing to do with any queries! It is just to appreciate the worthiness of this site.

Though I have not been posting in the forum, I have been following it regularly. So much knowledge and information in one place, unbelievable!

In fact, six months ago when I was planning to buy new bike, I researched old threads only in this forum (as suggested by my buddy) to come to an conclusion.

Finally, as ended up owning this fiery-orange FZS!

Now, I just would like to say "Thanks" to "xbhp and xbhpians"

I have also been trying some "photography skills" on this beauty using my mobile and some old SONY cam! I have included a sample here...

As per manual, FZ's fuel tank has capacity of 12ltrs. Does it include 1.4ltrs of reserve as well or is it 13.4ltr in total?
My FZ has run 522Km from tank full to the reserve. I still continued till 578Km before refilling the tank. This time tank full took about 11.6 ltrs of fuel worth rs. 900.
Plz help me to estimate the mileage.

                          • Problem with my yamaha FZ S

                            Hi,
I need help with the problem I am facing with my bike. My rear wheel rim gets very hot. I got this bike around 2 years ago.i thought it was normal until I rode 3 yamaha fz bikes owned by my friends. They were not facing the same issue. I showed it to atleast 3 to 4 different authorised service centers. All they had to say was I was riding bike with my foot on the brakes. I thought maybe I dont ride well. Hence kept an eye to ensure that I was not braking hard or unnecessary. I was still facing the same issue. Hence I showed to different local mechanics. None of them knew why it was happening. Finally I decided to officially complaint to yamaha. I emailed them and after 20 days I got a reply. I went to vasai service center as I was told it was a good service center. I showed , y bike and told about the problem. After wasting my 3 hours and giving me lot of excuses they tried a different wheel on my bike. I rode a bit and same issue persisted. I rode different yamaha fazer but that bike had the same issue. I just want to know if this is a problem with everyone who owns a similar bike or it is just normal and I should ignore. Just to reiterate, the rim gets very hot. I would be grateful if someone can help me...
                            Thanks,
                            Jerome.

Ha ha. Dude my bike is new.. Just finished up break-in period & first service. Its 1500 on the ODO.
I generally ride at around 60kmph & go above 80-85 whenever possible.
