apache's belly pan or the 'engine guard' won't be a direct fit on the fz moreover it comes as a three piece.you can also look for the cbf stunner's,cbz xtreme's and suzuki slingshot's engine guard which are more direct fit.you will have to obviously make a jugaad to fit any of these parts to the bike.Originally posted by shreyasvb View PostHello all..
Lookin for an engine guard for fz-s. Has anyone here has fit an engine guard??
Will Apaches engine guard fit out fz?
Please please reply.
Also tel me whether it ll b a direct fit.
Please reply.

Hi Guys...pls suggest a good yamaha service center in chennai...Sri motors is not upto the mark and I was not happy with their service either...
They charged 633rs for the 1st free service(?) and the bike is not even washed properly...
Even they are not able to find a small tyre issue (which was resolved with the help of xbhp guys and Paras yamaha svc)
Also, If I rev the bike for more than 5K RPM, I can feel heavy burnt smell is coming from the engine area after the 1st service...Complained to the Sv center guys...They told everything is fine from their end....I dont know, whether they are really incompetent or not willing to help...I really regret my decision in buying from Sri motors (only + was it is near to my home)

Re: Yamaha FZ-16
Smaller front wheel? I just dropped the front end of the bike by lowering the frame on the forks(1inch) but I don't see how it makes the front tyre smallOriginally posted by Shibadip View PostWith a Smaller Front wheel than the rear, the bike's handling will always improve, but it's the shelving off the speed when needed that takes a hit..
anyways u will adjust with time....
The front turns in faster mate, it can be easily felt when cornering.. The bike corners better and needs lesser force to turn.Originally posted by freekoo View PostHow does the bike handle with this alteration and is it safe to carry out this alteration by local mechanic?
It also reduces the ground clearance, seat height(good for vertically challenged people). Your riding position also gets altered.
Before doing this, make sure you get the whole idea.
Yeah, it's a easy job, any mechanic can do it, even yourself

Hi everyone.....
While polishing the bike, i noticed that the Monoshock red paint is chipping off from the inner sides where the two coils of spring would come in contact with each other in case of hard shocks....is it normal???
Waiting for reply....

Is your shock getting corroded? I had a similar problem with my shock. I guess because I live so close to the sea, its easier for my bike to catch rust. Faced this problem with all three bikes I've owned. Surprisingly, the shock was the most affected. As a temporary solution, I just got it repainted, since it hasn't got corroded to the point where it is compromised and needs to be replaced.Originally posted by neer350 View PostHi everyone.....
