Hope you weren't referring to me in regards to the colour blackmailingOriginally posted by jacob View PostHey fellaws
I finally got my CBR delivered today J I got the C-ABS version in black.
After a lot of thinking and comparos between the CBR and the Ninjet I decided to go for the CBR coz of the price tag
Special thanks to Ram A.K.A Thefastestindian for all the long talks and letting me rip his cbr and test the ABS
Thanks bro, and thanks to other xBhp Hyderabad members who gave in their inputs and blackmail
esp with respect to color
! First things first, why did you go for the black? Nooo! Was hoping you'd chose the silver
!
lol jokes apart, its a very nice decision indeed!
Lastly, Congratulations Jake!!! we should meet ASAP along with Ram and do something useful

Need advise on Radiator Fan
My radiator fan runs so often, any problem with this? I noticed this problem since yesterday. For example, if I put engine in idle condition, then the fan runs in every 20-30 secs.
I also noticed that during run time it spins every 3 min... even if cruising above 50kmph
This was not the case earlier. Any comments ?

1. Check for the mud/dirt/cover anything covered over the radiatorOriginally posted by sumantg View PostMy radiator fan...This was not the case earlier. Any comments ?
2. Approach your ASC to check the coolant level & the quality of coolant
3. Hope the temp guage doesn't show more than 3 bars on the LCD display
4. Also check for bent fins; if you find any & cannot determine how much is many, take a pic & post it here.
5. Also when was the last time you changed your engine oil + filter & how many Kms have you done after changing them & what grade of oil?Skill is what keeps you on a Motorcycle

I have fitted mud flap so no visible mud or dirt on the radiator.
2. Approach your ASC to check the coolant level & the quality of coolant
I will do this today.
3. Hope the temp guage doesn't show more than 3 bars on the LCD display
Yes, it remains at 3 bars only
4. Also check for bent fins; if you find any & cannot determine how much is many, take a pic & post it here.
My radiator fins bent almost 35 % (SVC guys did pressure wash) I fought with them and manager told me that they would correct the bent fins once they receive tool (not remember tool name) which is used for correcting bent fins. As of now nothing has happened.
5. Also when was the last time you changed your engine oil + filter & how many Kms have you done after changing them & what grade of oil?
I have done first service @800 kms, now its 4000kms on odo. I did first service on 23rd July , 2011. I think they used 10w30

If you're saying you haven't done any service between 800 to 4000 Kms...hmm...don't know what to say; you went by rule book, but in reality, things work slightly different. Anyway, do you notice any roughness in the engine?Originally posted by sumantg View Postfirst service @800 kms, now its 4000kms on odo. I did first service on 23rd July , 2011

I have posted picture earlier. I have used Yamaha RX100 mud falp (2 nos ). I have put two holes to mud guard and fixed mud flap.Originally posted by xxbomb View Postcan post pic please?.... which bike's mudflap did u use?
I bought 2 mud flap because i want to increase the length of mud flap so that mud will not splash on radiator and engine (to some extent).
It covers my radiator 100% and engine 50% from mud splashing from tyre.

I'd personally suggest you to go for an oil change at this point because at 2-2.5k kms the engine has just completed running-in and it'd be preferable to change that oil.
Although people like aargee and PSR Sir would be able to guide you in a much much better way.You are not a chemical. So think before you react.

Way to go!!!
That was the ideal time to get the oil changed for second time; hope you missed.Originally posted by sumantg View PostEngine roughness was there some time back
Err...not sure; anyway check the color of oil & decide; ideally it may not be required, but just check & take a call.Originally posted by sumantg View PostDo you want me to go for second service now?
Manual also said 1000 Km 1st service isn't itOriginally posted by sumantg View PostManual say second service @6000 KM

Way to go honda
This are detailed events what happened yesterday at vihaan honda thane :
The following people from honda gurgaon were present:
1)engine incharge - assembly line
2)weld incharge - assembly line
3)overall assembly - assembly line
4)2 service heads for complete bike
5)2 other men (dunno what - but they were with complete 3 page checklists for the cbr)
6)sales - a girl
7)dealership development & marketing - one man
customers present
1)me
2)gaurav
3)arjun
4)aziz
4)abhilabh
All the bikes were from first lot & had an average of 7k on odo with the exception of arjun's bike
dealer plus mechanics plus his service head
events:
1)morning bikes were marked with tag numbers from one to five before their arrival
2)than accordingly a sales interview was arranged with each of the customer.the lady carried an exhaustive feedback sheet of four pages which contained all kinds of details from colors, quality, horn
, blah blah blah --
{important info from them was for next bigger bike probably in a year.
confirmed info was cbr150R by march in the range of 1.2 L in competion to r15}
3)A separate bay for cbr was inaugurated & similar setup is being replicated across all the dealerships now
4)every customer was than personally asked to explain his problem to them alongwith feedback from the dealer's mechanic who was handling tht particular bike
5)a stack of spare parts were brought down by them which had cone sets, disk pads, radiator assembly, mirrors, blinkers, foot pegs, chain sets, shims etc
6)all these things whichever were observed faulty were replaced immediately free of cost
7) my bike had a multitude of problems in the sense that it was screwed up by my local dealership in terms of servicing - so I got coneset replaced, suspension cleaned & re adjusted,no shims required as vibes were mostly due to bolts & other stuff being loose (I have no idea on this as the work was already done by mech in my absence but they now have disappeared),chain was cleaned, adjusted & lubed (a probable replacement in a month as it jumps a bit),a few trial runs by everyone & some minor adjustments finally gave me the bike I had expected it to be in the first place.
8)others got chain set replaced alongwith radiator assembly (because of fan jammed) as well as cone sets replaced
It was an awesome experience as a whole with every minute thing well planned by the dealer as well as honda reps
I also took the issue of aargee & sudeep who had PMed me & atleast from spares point of view things are going to change radically in metros & suburbs first & than in other areas
They will be at one of the dealerships in pune so anyone can get in touch if required.
I also complained about my dealer & the pathetic response he gives but am least confident anything can be done in that matter since he's a political bigwig
Anyone in mumbai or thane or navi mumbai, please book your bike from vihaan if not already done else get it there for service & experience what customer delight is all aboutsigpic
