I am kind of wary of both pressure wash and compressed air. If directed at the electricals can end up loosening the connectors or worse snap some wire out!

I never had a problem too. And this after riding in the heavy Mumbai rains daily. Only issue was the moisture/mist in the console.Originally posted by s1d View Post

These things can even kaput the injectors so please do it on a reputed place and the guy who is washing it should know what he is doing.Originally posted by Doga View PostI never had a problem too. Yes moisture also gets in console, poor build and finishing is responsible for it

Re: KTM 200 Duke
KTM starts testing MY2016 Duke 125, 200 and 390 bikes - Indian Cars Bikes
Will we see these changes on the 2016 KTM Duke 200? I have been away from motorcycling community for some time and haven't really kept up with the KTMs.
I hope we get ABS as standard on the 2016 KTM Duke 200 or at least some handlebar end caps

You probably had a tank-slapper. Never ride so fast in Indian highways, you never know what could surprise you on the road. I personally don't over 50kmph and always expect surprises on the road. I am always extra-cautious since I am an inexperienced rider. Always wear a lid and and knee protection, knees are quite delicate joint and almost all the riders I have ever met has injured their knee at least once in their lifetime while riding.Originally posted by RoKit4 View PostHad an insane accident almosy a month back. Basically it was a crazy speed wobble at speeds over 110 kmph and I flew off the bike. Both me and my love suffered a lot of damage. I broke my leg [emoji23] she broke her leg guard, mirrors and RHS leg assembly. Haven't seen her for a month now, probably another month to go :'( crazy abrasions all over my body, legs arms and back but they've been healing good. No stitches to show from the accident though, which is supposed to be a good thing :P first thing I picked up from the road was my foot brake lever, and then limped to the side of the road [emoji57] I'm not proud of it but I walked in to the ER almost unconscious
it was a crazy experience and we're hoping to come back stronger !!
Looking forward to buying some riding gear and shoes to keep the abrasions away. They are really pissing off [emoji13]I am back!

Re: KTM 200 Duke
What oil was used ? 7100 , 300v ? - Just my curiosity.Originally posted by vikundefined View PostHi guys, after the recent service i am noticing oil seapage on the left side on the engine. This was not present before the service. Is it possible that they filled in more than required engine oil as it was just a regular service and I didn't had any issues before the service?[ATTACH]194274[/ATTACH]
Where is the oil leaking from ? Is it from the gasket between the block and crankcase or between the left crankcase cover and the crackcase ?
Check the oil level from the inspection window.. let the bike idle for a minute and then shut it down and wait for a minute and look at the oil sight glass with the bike upright (not on side stand)
Head to the svc and have it checked and replace the necessary gasket. If possible ask them to use the grey loctite gasket sealant (comes in a blue tube and is supplied by bajaj to the svc's)

Re: KTM 200 Duke
Hey guys,
Give me some suggestions. I'm unable to decide between the Duke 200 and 390. The things that I want are:
1. Mileage at least 28-30 kmpl,
2. Good performance- What is the difference in performance between 200 & 390? Is it huge or small?,
3. Good commuter as well as decent on highways.
Guys, which to take- 200 or 390??

Re: KTM 200 Duke
Everything is different .but 390 will give u a mileage of 16-17.so 200 is only option.Originally posted by jack_daniels View PostHey guys,

you have my opinion related to performance on the 390 thread.Originally posted by jack_daniels View PostHey guys,

for all the above you have stated, your only choice is the 200. The 200 performs well for its class/capacity, and returns the FE you mentioned (a bit more too).

Everything in terms of performance. Including tyresOriginally posted by jack_daniels View PostI don't understand. What do you mean by Everything is different??
Power delivery , acceleration, grip of tyres...all these are totally different on both the bikes.
390 is insanely powerful but since it's single cylinder the radiator will always be pushing hot air to your legs .but 200 is not like that.

If u want brutal power go wid d390(olmost double power and torque)Originally posted by jack_daniels View PostHey guys,

D390 is beast and acceleration is jaw dropping [emoji7] [emoji7] and relatively safer than d200 because of abs slipper clutch and super sticky metzilla tyres [emoji1]Last edited by kany1991; 10-15-2015, 02:49 AM.

Re: KTM 200 Duke
Since you seem to be a fan of fine smooth Whiskey, I would suggest the Ninja 300, not in your list but smooth and refined.Originally posted by jack_daniels View PostI don't understand. What do you mean by Everything is different??
Kicks in late!
The dukes are a bit more in your face kind of bikes, but even here there are differences.
The 200 is like tequila. It jolts your senses! Just that there aren't too may shots to have. 1 down(60kmph), 2 down (100kmph) , 3 down(130kmph) and you are done. Time to pub hop! You would dig every shot, believe me, but in the end it's a bit like steamy foreplay followed by a bit of meh sex. But the best damn foreplay to have
The 390 on the other hand is like Red Rum. It's coarse, it's strong and it's brutal.A bit of grown up affair, this. You gulp down 3 pegs and then think some more before tapping the bar tender on the shoulder!
Your choice of poison depends on the day of the week. On weekdays one may bother one or two shots and feel happy. On weekends you need to get drunk and throw up.
Lest the mods frown upon blabber filling up precious kilobytes, here it's in simple words: Duke 200 for everyday rides and Duke 390 for long rides and weekend blasts. The hero always RIDES into the sunset!

I would suggest you go with duke 200 itself. Mine returned 30+kmpl. It was good for commuting also.Originally posted by jack_daniels View PostHey guys,
