Congrats man, paid how much for it and what is the ODO reading.Originally posted by hirenmistry View PostHello guys,
Got myself a November 2012 model 200 NS in my favorite color: yellow.
Loving it so far, need to adjust the levers a wee bit downwards. Other than that its a-ok.
Loving it so far. Will post pics shortly.
Cheers
You must be feeling good as you can just open the throttle of this beast already... people usually have to go through the headache of running in the new engine xD. Yours is already broken in. Go WOT & test her out.

Thanks mate! I paid 68K for it and believe it or not the bike had done only 1030 KMS.Originally posted by broken87 View PostCongrats man, paid how much for it and what is the ODO reading.

Its a beauty, absolutely scratchless. I haven't gone WOT yet but could easily manage 100 KMPH on may way to work.
Just changed to Motul 7100 oil yesterday and adjusted the levers to my liking. Now need to get rid of these tires.
Thinking of getting the MRF Revz S for the rear. Don't want to go in for the Michelin radials, they're too expensive.

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
A heads up to everyone. If you notice fogging and vapor condensation on the coolant checking window after any kind of riding, it means your cooling system has a block somewhere.
I faced this issue few days back. It was a blunder done by the mysore svc. Few weeks back I'd got the coolant replaced as part of regular maintenance (odo 26k) and the nincompoops had jammed the tube starting from the lower part of the coolant reservoir back to the radiator main cap. It was jammed between a holder for the same pipe and the reservoir. Not exactly sure how it works but I assume the hot coolant was not coming close to the temperature sensor and it simply could not trigger the fan to start. Instead the coolant continued taking heat from the engine and at one point I noticed it boiling inside the reservoir. At peak temperature the coolant would over-expand and the cooling system would 'puke' it out from the over flow pipe.
The issue was solved at home. I tried to do the best I could with whatever few tools I had. Made a check of the entire cooling system and I just HAPPENED to find the jammed pipe. After letting the engine cool I removed the little bolt on the LH top of the radiator (can't be seen if tank is still in place). It made a phuss sound (pressurized system) I released the vapors from the reservoir by opening the cap and the issue was solved! The fan began working like before. Being the paranoid guy that I am, I made a check of the fan five more times, each time letting the bike cool down completely.

I'm glad I can do stuff at home.Sarcasm is my automatic response to stupidity.

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
Aditya, that was a nice debugging info. If possible can you post pics of that blocked pipe and where to look and what to look out for? I don't own NS but that will surely help the thread and possibly many members here. Good job on finding the problematic area and resolving it at home - one step closer to being a grease monkeyOriginally posted by Aditya N Bharadwaj View PostA heads up to everyone. Thank you! I'm a fan of buying most things pre-loved.Originally posted by maraque View PostThat's real bargain there. Congratulations.
That seems to be a solid choice.
Checked at a local MRF tyre shoppee, was quoted 3.2k. Front around 2K (don't quite remember which one).
Will soon get them. I hope these are a good deal better than the stock tires.

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
Finally my baby is off to svc.
Have given it to AutoService, bangalore.
Just a few niggles here and there. Mostly to do with vibrations and noise.
Have seen a very good review of them from the POV of service center. So keeping my fingers crossed...

1030kms. .? 68k..?Are you kidding. .?was the owner drunk or held at a gun point. .?Originally posted by hirenmistry View PostThanks mate! I paid 68K for it and believe it or not the bike had done only 1030 KMS.

Even a dusty looking ns can fetch 65k w\o checks.
And use mineral till 10k, not 7100
Rev z r good,
Don't try to fix me, I'm broke so I don't work
So are you, but you're broke 'cause you don't work

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
Have used Motul 5100 so far. Just a couple of days back got my bike serviced and finally gave her Motul 7100. Man what an improvement. The improved lubrication in higher rpms is greatly felt, the smoothness till the redline.. it feels better to ride in higher rpms now. Money well spent, 7100 definitely worth spending on.
Nov 2012 model with 1030 Kms for just 68K ? That's like looting the other person lol. Great bargaining there, But the ODO reading is strangely low for a bike that's 1.5 yrs old. but you said it's scratchless and all.. So may be the owner wasn't much into bikes and just bought it for fun.Originally posted by hirenmistry View PostThanks mate! I paid 68K for it and believe it or not the bike had done only 1030 KMS.

Re: Pulsar 200 NS Owners Review and Experiences
Haha, neither! Just plain and simple reasoning. He was asking 75K and I quoted him 65K. Told him if he sells to the dealer he will not even get 60K. He seemed a reasonable man and agreed to meet me mid way price wise. And we shook hands.Originally posted by Anuj_Gupta View Post1030kms. .? 68k..?Are you kidding. .?was the owner drunk or held at a gun point. .?

Rev z r good,
TBH, I saw a few Aug/Sept 2012 bikes done around 12-14K KMS and they were asking around 65K, of course the price would reduce post negotiation.
Thanks for the reply, I hardly used the Bajaj oil for 100 kms, so I cannot tell if 7100 makes a difference or not. But I always tend to pamper my vehicles.Originally posted by broken87 View PostHave used Motul 5100 so far. Just a couple of days back got my bike serviced and finally gave her Motul 7100. Regarding the bargaining skills, well I learnt my lesson when I bought a pre-used Civic, my enthusiasm got the better of me and my wallet.
He was a born again biker, bought it on a whim but his family took the wind out of his sails, hence the low KMS. He had no option but to sell it. I was the first guy to see the bike. Bought it in a heartbeat. And thusfar I'm loving it.
I just need to get used to height of this thing, compared to my trusty ol' classic 180 getting on this is like mouting a camel. My wife has plain refused to sit on it.
Now to change the tires and perhaps fit some aux lamps.
