Wow nice.is it possible for you to send some pics of it.Will be really helpful to everyone...
full tank till hit reserve it goes 410-440 km for me. so with 2 ltr of reserve in 12 ltr tank i guess it gives around 42 to 44 to me

Please help me shortlist between As200 & Gixxer SF. I had almost made my mind to buy As 200 but after going the entire ownership thread, there are lot of issues mentioned such as, Bike swaying to left, Gears getting stuck etc. I'm not a performance rider & i tend to cruise between 70-80 on the highway. I was more tilted towards AS 200 initially because of reas disk and extra horse power which may come handy at times. Are the issues mentioned in this thread acknowledged by ASC & do we have a solution in sight.

On the other hand, Gixxer SF seems to be expensive for what it offers. Granted, there is a full fairing however, 1.02 Lacs on the road for a bike without even rear disc brake sounds like too much.

Would really appreciate your views on this.
i was in same condition before 3 months it took me 3 months to decide between as200 and gixxi sf. at last i zeroed to as200 and after 5100 km in 2.5 months i m fully satisfied and happy with my choice.

gixxer will give u suzuki trust and refinement with less issues but power loss(as200 gives almost 10 bhp extra + liquid cooling)
as200 is just like dragon. it roars and just shoot away traffic.

    both bikes are top notch.
if ur into touring go for as200 even it city traffic its perfect.
but gixxer on highway will not be fun at all.
i driven both back to back on highway. post 80 gixxer feel bit stressed if you continue more than 30 min,
but as200 post 110 also its relaxed no matter how much time i keep her above 100.

my vote goes to as200(issues can be fixed if you know how to take care of ur bike)
for 1.10 on road for as200 u wont get any other bike with such power and functions.

as you are also in my condition feel free to reach me if you need more info. i tested both of them from 0 to 100 on road.

Adding washers should do the trick.

Today I went to a different service centre for the left leaning issue, the SVC loosened the cone settings and handle is more free now, bike still sways somewhat but it's less stress on the body. Shouldn't be a problem on high speeds, it's common for speeds below 40-50.

Ordered for a centre stand today. Cleaning chain and lubing is headache without that.

center stand is possible for as200???
SVC told me as200 cant get center stand.

I finally decided to go for pulsar AS 200, I had my test ride yesterday, is it that common for showrooms to not have separate vehicle for test ride?

They were using a test kit, removed the console cable so it won't register in odometer, and most unforgivable thing was they revved it to 6-7k right after starting it for first time.

They had a total of 4 AS 200's, there is a pretty high chance that I might get one of test ridden vehicle moreover I am unsure how sanely they are gonna ride it to RTO.

Am I overreacting or, I really should be concerned about this?

Being concerned is just fine. Check the bike thoroughly during delivery for everything. Make sure coolant is topped up. No scratches or tears anywhere. Wrappers are there wherever necessary for first time uncovered new bike. Adequate fuel to go till nearest petrol pump. Proper quality of oil, all indicators, lights, brakes, etc. Just take your sweet time and check everything to your heart's content.

And congratulations, yes the bike does have this and that problems but which bike is perfect, tell me. It's a machine after all. But over all, I'm very satisfied with my bike!

Yes centrestand is absolutely possible as i have put on my AS200.they charge 630 and it makes life a lot easier.Pelase go to any SVC and ask them to put it.

Regarding the central stand, is the central stand separately available for as200 or the same stand of NS 200 is being given??

The turning off randomly issue has started happening with me too!!

I wasnt riding the bike regularly for the last month. Just one 10-15 KM ride a week to keep it going. This friday I started riding regularly and it turned off twice immediately on letting go of the throttle. I thought maybe its related to the battery being discherged due to less use.
SO yesterday i rode it for over 100KM but the issue still persists. I ran it for a good 60KM on the highway and lots of running within city in day time so battery should be charged. But its still turning off without any reason.

Have done ~4300KM and its the first time im facing this issue. I was on the highway and this happened twice which gave me jitters.. thank god there was no traffic or i would have been in trouble. Im starting to keep throttle a little engaged even when idling/downshifting etc so it doesnt stop. will get it serviced next week but this problem is freaking me out.
Thankfully ive not had any gear getting stuck issue till now. Vibes and rattles are of course there but im learning to live with them, but this issue is life threatening and i dont know what to do about it. Please tell me if you find any solution.

Problems and niggles will always be there even if you buy a Panigale or Hayabusa. But what it turns out to be is, how you manage to handle the issue and maintain the motorbike.

Anyway, you can safely drop both and get Hornet (Since you yourself confirm that you are not a high speed lover and mostly ride at 80 kph). Perfect at every angle, will surpass Gixxer very soon. Also reviews keep assuring a good long rides because of taller gear and peaking power post 6000 rpm (Remember Unicorn, takes only 3 gears to reach close to 100kph, my ns does only 93kph).

Where are you planning to book?. When I test drove all bikes at Jai Bajaj, I found the same. They gave me stock bike (to be sold). I felt a bit upset of the (about to be) owner who is gonna buy the bike which I test rode. Anyway had no option.

Most of such bikes wouldn't have set up with engine, so the refinement will not please you. Also small cubic capacity bikes and company like Bajaj, usually we cannot expect every showrooms to have a stock test drive bike. When the same fate is even for R3, what does company like Bajaj do?.

For your RTO issues, try to go with them. In my case, I asked MRF, so I got it fresh load and I told them that I'd accompany when going for RTO registration. So I gave very least chance for them to taste my motorbike.

Its the same as NS200's. Showroom folks will try to take more money saying its an exclusive accessory for AS, be careful with them. Should cost you around 550rs + labour for fixing it

It may also happen if the idle speed is not healthy. Check that once, if its still happening, then we are on the same boat!

I test rode my bike in Trichy (Jaisakthi Motors), decided to book from Chennai though, since that's where i work.

Called Khivraj Motors (Thousand Lights branch), they told i need to wait at least a week to get it delivered, which is a good thing like you said it will be a fresh stock.

About the bike, i am damn impressed by it refinement, yes i rode in 4.5k to 5.5k rpm too, while decelerating i noticed some vibrations in the seat, which i am pretty sure is not from engine itself, its probably due to mechanical resonance of fairing.

Again we got no reason to compare it to refinement of Honda's or Suzuki's they don't offer this much, at this price.

Oh good, so you from Trichy?. I bought it through Khivraj, but in one of their branches. But the service was pathetic.

Good that you get a fresh stock. Ask for MRF tyres if possible. First they said no to my NS, but after bargaining and fighting that I won't book so and so, they agreed. But a wait is worth. More you do the run-in properly, the better the engine gets set. You will love it. Post buying, if you are interested let me know, we can go out and munch some miles

Is it possible to change the backlit color of the console?
