Its ok mate! Anyways if there is an issue we should stand by and elevate the issue to higher levels. No matter if I dont suffer from the disease, still I can fight for the ones suffering and the future ones who may be looking to buy this machine. So anything from my side do let me know I would be more than happy to make this bike a better machine, if not for us, atleast for the future buyers.Originally posted by vishnukmd View Post

Hard gears problem: none of mine or anyone else's guesses are correct. it was simply absence of enough lubrication between shifting lever and shaft on which it is mounted on left foot peg. we were all going blah blah over correct shifting rpm, clutch... service advisor @ SC solved it in 5 mins...gears shift just makkhan
I am overjoyed
wobbling is still there...SC person has told me he needs to investigate step by step...n it will take some time...so for the time being i'm living with it...
jerks n abrupt engine stops during riding also solved... reason too tight choke cable..
I liked the SC person's approach towards addressing problems....he quietly listens to customer n starts checking for very basic things n moves ahead to more complex ones if necessary...
end of the day, I am happy with my bike and the service.
total service cost Rs. 270 includes engine oil, oil filter, consumables.
FYI: i went to Simran Suzuki @ panvel.
happy riding

Bro...good to know that most of your problems are solved.....as per my riding experience.....the GS has one of the best gear boxes...and the gears are really smooth.....from the beginning.....
Anyway....my first also happened....but at exactly 1000kms....
I could not have given earlier you know....I just could not bear to part with the bike....anyway....happy riding....

Regarding clutchless shifting gear
Upshifting is good and works well at correct rpm and method as discussed few hundred pages back, downshifting needs lot of pratice but its not recommended in our loose tracks.
@ vishnu
Was been driven parallel with two of my frinds they are in pulsar and dazzler all speedo shows same speed and kms covered are too same
So no speedo or odo problem
I did used my mobile GPS mobile found a strange thing
Mobile GPS shows 0 while I was driving at 5 kmph speed then even at 20 or 30 kmph speed the difference is 10 kmph
While driving at 35 kmph on odo mobile GPS shows 22 kmph
I think their is a latency delay as the GPS data is transfered thru mobile towers and display latency delays
Any idea ?
Madhu bhai....I think there is certainly a delay in the GPS transmission....
because I use my mobile GPS whenever I am travelling in a bus to some far place....and when the bus is stopped....it shows 0 and when the bus starts and starts to move.....the GPS is still st zero...it begins to show the speed.....only after a few seconds.....
I think to know the exact speed in GPS...we should drive at a constant speed for a ample amount of time.....then the GPS catches upto the speed....after sometime....I think that would be the correct reading....

Anybody tried DC electricals with the headlights? I feel a steady beam would simply be awesome in the baby gixxer. As I find a few complaining about the headlight in the GS, a DC would a boon. Personally, though the current power is adequate, I would love a DC lighting system.

just read errors are possible on GPS tooOriginally posted by Guru_007 View PostMadhu bhai....I think there is certainly a delay in the GPS transmission....

for your reading pleasure
Speedometer - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
GPS devices are capable of showing speed readings based on how far the receiver has moved since the last measurement. As the GPS is an independent* system, its speed calculations are not subject to the same sources of error as the vehicle's speedometer. Instead, the GPS's positional accuracy, and therefore the accuracy of its calculated speed, is dependent on the satellite signal quality at the time. Speed calculations will be more accurate at higher speeds, when the ratio of positional error to positional change is lower. The GPS software may also use a moving average calculation to reduce error.
As mentioned in the satnav article, GPS data has been used to overturn a speeding ticket; the GPS logs showed the defendant traveling below the speed limit when they were ticketed. That the data came from a GPS device was likely less important than the fact that it was logged; logs from the vehicle's speedometer could likely have been used instead, had they existed.
Global Positioning System - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
One of the most significant error sources is the GPS receiver's clock. Because of the very large value of the speed of light, c, the estimated distances from the GPS receiver to the satellites, the pseudoranges, are very sensitive to errors in the GPS receiver clock; for example an error of one microsecond (0.000 001 second) corresponds to an error of 300 metres (980 ft). This suggests that an extremely accurate and expensive clock is required for the GPS receiver to work. Because manufacturers prefer to build inexpensive GPS receivers for mass markets, the solution for this dilemma is based on the way sphere surfaces intersect in the GPS problem.Sarcasm is my automatic response to stupidity

I got motul 3004t plus oil today.
MRP was 235, (oct 2010 manufacture), there was a 10 rupee cash back label, and i paid 210. Is the price ok or did i pay more than usual ?? (bacause i bought it from cherry agencies and heard they dont give proper discounts)
Checked tyre pressure too, the shocking thing is, the display board at the bunk with tyre pressure indication started from 18 psi for front tyre !!!
I think i was riding at a very low pressure all these days (filled about one or one and a half months ago), back tyre was normal, around 28, any reason why front tyre deflates so quickly ?? or is it only with me ?

Bro....I think the price is OK....recently I bought two bottles of the same...here in Hyderabad....the MRP was same...2335 and I also got the cash discount coupon sticker 10 Rs....
finally I got some more discount and got is for 200/-...It think it is OK...just 10 -20 rs difference wont be much .....
200Rs I think is really good deal....considerring it is MOTUL and keeps our GS running so good...for atleast 2000kms....
Buddy...generally I check the tyre pressure once in a month or so....It is like I fill the tank once...I check the trye pressure in the petrol pump....after that....it is the next time....when I come to put fuel....so it is around...3 weeks to 1 month...
Ya in my case to it is the same....the pressure starts from either 20 or 18...depends....
I thnik it might problem of the pressure check valve.....beacuse while he starts to fill the air...a little air is coming out....and at that time it shows the pressure....it might not be so accurate....can't say..
Anyway....guys I changed the back tyre this weekend....was not much happy with the zapper Y....so I plonked in a Michellin Pilot Sporty Tubeless....got a good deal....
the tyre price was around 1800 and I exchanged my Zapper Y with it....I got a discount of 700/- and finally got the tyre for 1100 including the exchange and fitting.....the tyre is excellent....
anybody who wants to go for a change.....I would suggest the Michellin Sporty.....Last edited by Guru_007; 02-14-2011, 04:50 PM.

Hey Guru How are you ??
as a incident happened with me yesterday night...
I was coming from a friends party at 11:45 from korgao park pune...
the speed of bike was around 60 suddenly at some distance Honda city took a immediate U turn from the other side. AS they where at marginal distance i Applied the brake slowly,
What I noticed was like the Bike was slow but the rear tier was skidding towards the car........It was like the bike was stopped no acceleration clutch was Pressed...the rear wheel was not moving but the bike just skid too much....without any dis balance ....
I have noticed it several times... if you are in speed and apply sudden brakes....
the bike just skid a lot but the best part is i do not let you loose your balance....maybe because of weight...

What can be done on this ???
By the Way I have a question If we Put a Broader tire in the rear....
do we also need to change the rim...or the stock rim can be used to fit the broader tire.... ???
ThanksLast edited by BiKeLovER; 02-14-2011, 05:25 PM.sigpic

Issue
Hi Guys, the bikes runnin fine... Just 2 issues though.
1- when i turn the handle bar to the extreme right side, bike engine stops!!
2- sometimes the signal buzzer (sound that comes when signalling for turning right or left) sounds like the battery is low. Any suggestion for the cause??
Is anyone else facing this problem too.
Also, i want to get a few changes done like lowering the clutch lever as the current position is giving me some pain to the palm of my left hand. Shud i approach the SVC?? My bike is just 7 days old and its not time for the 1st service yet. Will they do it or shud i visit my trusted mechanic for this.Ride Safe so U can Live to Ride another Day!

I got the similar problem after the first service....when you turn to extreme right the bike engine stopsss...
Probably on of the reason must be the choke wire is tight...that when you turn the bike the wire is automatically pulled from the engine..
Please check that can be one of the reason....
The Reason for the second problem is because of the AC supply... If you decrease the accelerator the buzzer sounds like the battery is down.
