I noticed, those black colored parts have no anti-rust coating (or whatever) under the main paint. So when by any chance color is removed, that part gets rusted quickly.
Suzuki should at least re-paint those existing parts with needed care. This will be enough. I personally don't demand complete new replacement.

Ya Shadow....what you are saying is true....it is the manufacture date that matters....and that particular lot which had probs....

but I think....suzuki would not be seeling a bike which was manufactured some time last year....or early this year....in June....that too in Mumbai....I think it has to be a recent manufacture....

When i bought my pulsar 3years ago....I got the delivery on Aug 12th and it was manufactured in August month itself....OK now I am not comparing it with the GS now....

Just my thought that the manufacture has to be recent one.....like April or May....this year...

Bro...first of all I hope you have recovered...

Man that's a huge bill....I think you came to know the name of the various bike parts only after you got the bill....
I do not know atleast 4 of them...exactly where to do they fit...

23 days too is al ong time...ya the spares are hard to come by.....
Ya bro along with the GS you should also be careful....

I know how it will be when you have a crash...i had a number of times....
but my pulsar came out with flying colors out of all the crashes...
Only once....handle little bend and two times the leg guard was bent....and the service people bent it back to shape again....

Other than that...nothing was amiss in my pulsar....well I agree the crashes were not so severe as yours....but till now it has been 4 times in my pulsar...

        Anyway bro be careful....ride safe...

they boast so much about engine balancer technology and its just a rock ???

this seems to be like when hero honda said quantum core engine and it was just a dumb sales gimmick

                • I too had accident on my trip near Pune. I slipped from muddy road at 50 kmph.. By bike rested on grill.. and the grill color got scratched.. Here are some photos of my trip in month of July.

It was great ride and after crash nothing happened to my bike. I touched 116 km/h on tour. Butter smooth side. Even after taking into river, not a micro particle of rust in wet area. All is perfect. No matter what others say about GS, I love my bike. I don't care if bike is hit or flop, Im damn happy. Suzuki want to sell in India, so they have to bring solution and most probably they will. Im patiently waiting. ANd people, please don't make foolish complaints and ruin the thread. Rust is serious though. I wish all the best too Vishal.

Bro..i am really feeling bad....I am not able to see the pics here in office...prob some firewall....I will have to wait till I reach my home....only then I can see.....
When I had uploaded the pics...i was able to see them....and even when Vishal uploaded the pics I was able to see....
But I do not know now...why I am not able to see them....did you upload in any other format....

Photon's expression was itself enough for me to know that the pics were surely breathtaking.....

No doubt bro the GS is really a damn good bioke..except that stupid rust thing....everything is awsome in the bike....

Do not worry bro....the thread won't get spoiled....the GS is a good bike and it will remain good....only some flaws.....

Well as I told you despite these probs...i am still not able to let go off the bike....from my heart....it is just there....

Amit bro....your quite cynical statements are quite difficult to digest for some people....
please bro...put things simple.....it is difficult for everybody to catch your sense of humor....

So put things in plain english...otherwise people will become quite weary about the GS.....

Bro...as I told you before...do not change your decision....
The GS is really a great bike....no doubt about that at all....
the issue is only about the rust.....I am sure it will not much affect in bangalore....

Bro..i suggest you to go for either Balck or Grey...
as the Orange and Blue are bright colors...there tend to be some color shade difference in the different parts of the bike.....

My perosnal opinion is Black....as it never looks old...grey also is excellent...both are quite sober colors...so choose between them....(by probably playing INKY...PINKY...PONKY...FATHER HAD A DONKEY...)

I am really sorry guys....I really played the spoilsport by uploading those rust pics I suppose...people are really getting the GS wrong....
I just wanted everybody to be aware that's all....

I still want to purchase the bike...hope the suzuki guys will rectify the prob soon.....how soon...I do not know....

Those pics are truly amazing. its looks like professional photography
which camera do u have ??
My suggestion is get scratched ares of the grill repainted immediately. those ares are prone to rust more.

gs150 can really zip thru roads. today during mileage test that service centre guy took my bike to 6-7k rpm(when its still at 180km odo).
i told him to slow down and he said its ok nothing will happen for short durations if u go to 6k

                            • not happy.......

                              hi all
not really happy with the bike....completed 5500 kms.
I never felt the bike butter smooth as u all say even after the 3rd service.
I had a doubt after the first service about quality of oil they use due to increased roughness.
On the 2nd service they changed the oil, showing me a bottle with suzuki and castrol written on the bottle saying that the oil is specially prepared by castrol for suzuki.....soon after 1000 kms the oil started showing its property, the bike would run good for few 10 kms and then i would start feeling some roughness on my toes(gear shift and rear brake).the bike Started giving hichups at any speed, even aroungd 80s... 90s.
On the third service I told them about the problem.....they screwed up the carburetor tuning....the bike was still giving hichups and the add problem now was that the rpm struggled to rise.Even a 100 cc bike would move ahead on the signals.the bike was very sluggish, was dragging.
I again went for problem correction. The guy said the carburetor needs cleaning.(this means the carburetor was not cleaned even once on any of the services)
got the bike after carb cleaning in the evening, the bike didnt start, not even by the service guy.....then he started screwing idle rpm as well as fuel/air screw......it started but it can never be the ideal screwing, like factory set,i can easily feel the difference.
when ever i rev it a bit and then reduce it, it is followed by some kind of dug dug feeling from the engine on the handle bar and toe.To confirm if it is not from the chain,i opened the opening on the chain guard and rolled my finger.i found the chain really dirty and chain guard had a thick deposition of mud.....( so neither carb nor chain were ever cleaned)
but the problem was not due to the chain because it behaved the same in the stand still condition......

i wrote to suzuki directly.....my complain was reverted back to the SC.
the owner of the SC called me and assured me to look in to the issue personally tomorrow.....
                              lets see.....

so the moral of the story is......
doesn't matter how good the bike is......what matters is how good the service you are going to get......
Even i enjoyed the bike before the 1st service......

Bro I really think the SC guys are not at all good.....the carb is a sensitive thing....and it should carefully....even the fuel and air screw are very sensitive things....those people should not handle it so carelessly...

believe it or not bro...I never had to clean the carb of my Pulsar in since 3 years I bought it...i never faced any prob reg carb...really...

Only the recommended engine oil should be used ...don't know which the SC guys used.....as per my knowledge Castrol doe not make engine oils specific to a particular manufacturer.....(pl correct me if I am wrong)

I personally use the CASTROL POWER 1...it is a very good oil for 150cc engines...

Bro..which city are you put up...?? And which service centre you had the bike serviced?? let know...

Probabaly other owners of your city can guide you to a better SC....let know about it....
