    • My bike rtr 180(2011) is giving just 32km mileage
There were days that I used to get 28 so was pretty satisfied on getting 35km while revving on 70-80 in city traffic. Now, after going through a couple of pages/threads I'm little worried.
And i have always had this question, will there be exactly 2.5 in reserve or would it surely differ from bike to bike.

Had filled petrol for 1000 bucks (13.35 lts) and i fell to reserve just after 440kms.

If reserve has 2.5 lts exactly then i'd like to ride it till the end and find out how much mileage it gives. Coz i really don't understand how to find the fuel eff by full tank to full tank.

or you could just check here via the reserve to reserve method and afaik all the rtr 180's have 2.5L in reserve.

Guys, I had posted a few weeks ago regarding the oil used for our bikes. Tru4 is a semi synthetic 10w-30 grade oil. Aren't we supposed to use a mineral oil till engine is fully set say till 5000km? If tvs recommends a semi synthetic, can we use one right now? I just treated my twister with the ax7 for reaching 20k km. I love the oil. So it got me thinking... Can I get some opinions and advice regarding this?

Man,I asked a similar question in 200 NS ownership thread, did n't get any answers.200ns is coming with dtsi oil which is semi-synthetic.
I guess semi-synthetic is actually mineral oil with some additives, read somewhere, can be wrong, please confirm.
Is the spares for rtr 180 easily available? What about the spares of old version? Comment on the cost of spares, compared to bajaj.

Well. I'm still waiting for the reply on oils. So I'll tell you about the spares.

They are easily available. Some body parts take a while but not too long. It's always under a week. But regarding costs, I'd say bajaj sells spares at dirt cheap prices compared to tvs. This is only my opinion and my view on pulsar spares : I find the quality of TVS spares to be better than bajaj.

Switched to ax7 from elf fully synthetic
Reason for change was nothing I wanted Ax7 for my white tiger and I felt no diffrence same smootheness and main reason was the cost too
By the way happy childrens day to you and your babies

                          • Had a very weird experience today, The engine "OFF" switch would not turn the engine off... & each time i shifted to neutral the rpm would increase to 2.5-3k in idle.. The bike remains ON even if the switch is in OFF position for a good 2mins..
Is it a serious problem.??Problem with the switch or the carb.??

Why do you want to downgrade to mineral when company itself is giving semi synthetic. For example : If TVS would have been giving Pirelli Sports Demon tyres , why would anyone change it to Ceat tyres? Got the point :P

If you have gone through the RTR spare price list you could have compared the prices.

They are sold here for 500 buck and honestly go for those if you want to add "poser" word with your bike.
