I have changed mine under warranty at somewhat around 11-12k.

But if you will ask SVC people they will simply say it doesnt come under warranty, so use some trick ...
Thanks. I'll try asking the SVC engineer once

But even after 7k km of running on the Shell Ultra FS oil, the levels have dropped to the minimum level..I will be leaving my bike for re-threading & an oil change tomorrow..Just out of curiosity, How much will a new Engine Head cost.??
Thank you for the wishes...One should be damn lucky to get a problem fixed by TVS SVC & that too in one shot...

Regarding the Headlight mods:..My personal opinion is to put a 35W HID with a projector..Anything above 35W requires a Relay..
Cylinder head is costlier that the cylinder kit. I think it is above 5k. Not sure

            • A very happy near year guys! I've been away from the forum for a while. Recently, me and my friend went on a 1500 km round trip ride from Bangalore to Gokarna which included Bhadra Reservoir, Jog Falls, Murdeshwar, Yana and Kudremukh. The bikes behaved excellent with ZERO issues. One of my best rides ever!

              Pics below as usual

Check this handle bar mod.Anyone tried something like this?Higher bars to make it touring friendly(and to pop wheelies easily)?

                  • Hi,

Can anyone help me in identifying the name of part marked in the below picture

After doing a wash service today, My bike refused to get started . So I took bike to a nearby local workshop and the mechanic replaced this part temporarily as it had water content inside it. He told that the original part can be fitted once it is properly dried.

So I was wondering if I could fit this part myself instead of taking to workshop again. Any D.I.Y links would also be helpful

Not sure what it's called. But it carries the ignition signal to the spark plug.

Thats the spark plug cap. It will have two ends one will fit the spark plug & other will connect the distributer/end of ignition. Just push & rotate to fit it in the spark plug terminal other end can also be fixed in the same way. Next time try to cover that with plastic while washing & don't use pressure wash on electricals & carb.
