  • Re: Which iridium spark plug should I go for my RTR 160-hyperedge?

Guys, i was riding my bike at 30 km/hr while it was raining at that time, i saw a speed breaker at i applied the breaks slightly, the TVS Tyre showed is nature, the bike fishtailed, got skirted and i fell down.

Damn the previous version of bumper guards are much better than new ones, the bike indicator is broken, handle bar is somewhat stiff now and slightly slanted towards right, but i can still mange to ride. But the important thing, my bike pickup got affected a lot.The speed gets reduced very soon, if i stop ripping my accelerator, and it takes more time reach 60-70 kph, planning to visit SVC tomorrow, any idea what could be the problem.

Also planning to change my rear Tyre to ZAPPER C 110/80 (DAZZLER TYRE). Is it worth it.

@hemnath I have read a lot of reviews on Zapper-c..It seems good in wet condtions..but if u can afford zapper-vyde then thats the best in terms of grip...
but as they are soft-compound tires they will worn out sooner than TVS tires...so dont expect it to run more than 20k in odo...

Amit is available in whatsapp....just pinged him now...
he said NGKITA16 is not available....
        if im buying through planet-dsg it will cost : 550 +199(shipping charge)=almost 750/-
Im really thinking, is it really worth to go for that or settle with CR7EIX as mentioned in NGK site.
Anybody has any idea on the difference between the two & which is better among them...
Both have the same price of 550/- rs..

Once I fell down I faced this problem, where exhaust connection to engine got leak, may be that's your case I think..

It's minor repair. Didn't even pay for it specifically. get back exhaust in position with engine outlet and tighten it.

@Tribals : 2k kms on free flow and stock re-bored block and a-f-r has gone haywire. No idea how this happened but I rode it for 35kms for normal Sunday g2g (last sunday) and then while coming back it just wont idle, do anything. I had to keep the hand on throttle so that it doesnt give up.

So that brings my end to RTR, White Devil is on sale now.
                Sorry to hear that!

It costs 2k+ approx and even now dazzlers are coming with TVS tyres,so availability will be an issue..Go for either vyde or R15 v1 rear tyre(I am using, which is cheaper,1.8k and awesome grip)

I think the new CB Trigger of Honda which has launched is coming with MRF ZAPPER C 110/80. BTW what is the model name of R15 v1 tryes, 100/80 profile tyre. what would be the life of the Tyre.

I am using the Zapper C. It costs 2k and imho it's worth for that price. I've been purposely riding in the rain and after 300
kms I can say it can handle the wet surface pretty well. It's not a good looking tyre like the Zapper Vyde but looks aren't a concern. If you want to get rid of the stock tyre this one of the option. But, whatever may be the tyre, it all depends on your riding.

                        Cheers!

ABS is worth the extra buck...But dont think that guarantees everything from skidding...though it helps a lot it still depends on how good the driver is in panic braking...
The reason why I have said so, is because I have read that even though the xbhp member had this ABS & all, still he couldnt escape from falling down in wet situation..
But still you guyz have an added advantage on the non-ABS one's like mine & that advantage might be the helping hand of god during those extreme situations...
                            Happy safe riding buddy....

Actually there is a huge debate whether ABS increases or decreases braking distance.. In a straight line..
It is for certain that ABS helps a lot while braking & simultaneously changing direction & that ABS gives you confidence to use the 100% braking performance. Many times it saves life while panic braking.. But it reduces the bikers "skills"..
The major problem with RTR (with or without ABS) is that it comes with THE USELESS TVS TYRE.. TVS tyres are just hopless.. Hence ABS will be safer..
And one more heads-up. ABS feels really different compared to bikes without & one needs to get used to it..

I think you are referring to the 15 kmph skid my friend (also an in active xbhp member, on my bike) experienced on wet & clay...

Yes, the riders skill matters the most.. ABS is safer but the rider must know its & his limits..

Yes exactly I was referring to that incident, but didn't really knew u were that person..
Btw I have decided to buy CR8EIX - NGK iridium spark plug instead of CR7EIX which I bought last time.
The difference is CR8EIX is one level colder than CR7EIX.
So I hope it will work for me as most of time I'm riding in damn city traffic, also occasional long rides where I rip the bike a lot...
