Personally I've several times applied high pressure water directly on the electricals, switches and tachometer, from every possible angle at my home. Just to verify the quality and concealment of electricals in 200NS, nothing ever happened.
Usually the water sprayed on the tacho etc dont do any harm...
Its the water sprayed under the tank and above the engine near the carb etc where it reaches into plugs and wire caps etc is where it plays gabbar let it dry off!
A recent wash and some water got into my key hole and the bike refused to switch on! Left it in the sun and problem solved,
To the guy having trouble with tacho go to svc and claim warranty! !

All five fingers in your hand is not same and so is the case with digital meters , they are manufactured by the same vendor, but still some pieces don't perform accordingly and behaves irratically every now and then, my friend has pulsar 180, whenever he gets his bike wash either by himself or by SVC whole meter just shuts down completely, same thing happens in rainy season.

I believe Filters of fiero and apache be different as fiero was just 12bhp bike, and apache is 14bhp bike, more power means requirement of more air, get the filter checked at ASC.

            Hi guys,
My bike is almost 18months old. From my last oil (tvs true4) change I have rode about 1800kms. The initial pickup of the bike is awesome from standstill, but when am riding in highway in fifth gear the speed increase is too slow, am sure about this because I have seen other 180 stock bike guys easily overtaking me. And when I touch 9k rpm the bike starts to drag and feels as if the I have to change the fuel from ON to RESERVE. at 9k rpm in a flat road with chin to tank riding posture I get the speed not crossing 120. Can anyone help me in what problem I might be facing??
SVC guys just take a ride of my bike for about 20mtrs from the workshop and say everything is fine

P.s: I ain't a maniac rider, this max speed riding only happens in a highway stretch of 10kms with almost no traffic.

              Hey there,
There could be multiple issues some more likely than others,
Mainly what this suggests is your air fuel ratio is lean.
Bike gives good milage ehh? But its heating up more?
Bike missing like there is no fuel usually points to a lean afr.
Get the carb tuned for perfect afr.
              Clean your spark plugs too,
Also its high time now you drop the crap oil from tvs also change your oilfilter.
Try the carb tuning it should help.
Other issues that can be the culprit:-
Adulterated fuel.(just fill from a reputed petrol bunk)
Water in tank.(drai the tank and refill)
Carb is dirty. (-get csrb jets and bowl cleaned and carb tuned)
              Tps issue (unlikely)

You did not mention how many kms is on your odo.
Please change ypur tvs oil to something else say like shell advance ax7 10w40.

              Hope it helps.

^^ now I got 6k kms in my odo.
                Running with k&n 1060 filter.
Fe has actually decreased by 2km since last tuning. Fuel am filling it from the same pump since I bought her.
This time will change the oil to shell or motul whichever I get my hands on. Does any of this relate to the clutch??

Please revert to the stock air filter if you want to keep your bike for long. Too many people have tried that in the past and repented later. Not many mechanics are skilled enough to do a proper tuning with K&N. Even if they do, I don't think the performance increase is worth the risk.

You told me it was stock.
Please throw away that knn, thats the reason your running lean!
That thing will rape your engine inside out.
Knn is not ment for our dirty dusty road conditions!
You oil must be going black quicker due to all the dirt in it, this will destroy your bike, all that for just a little sound? Please revert back to stock , the rtr has an awesome exhaust note enjoy that,
Oil your stock filter and use it.
They are right, too many people hae screwd up their bikes doing this,
Knn requires rejetting, and even then its a lot of trial and error, switch back to stock filter and even jets (if you have rejetted).

Go to the svc after you have removed that knn and reverted to stock.
For tappet clearance you can go to an outside mech. and make sure he follows the following link ,

Fix back the stock jet and filter, apparently your jetting wasnt good.

For engine oil follow this, make sure you change the oil filter (rs40 only)
With every grade, quality or brand change.

Your stock grade is xxw40 stick to it,
                            A few options
                            Mineral:- motul 3000 4t 20w40, good for 2000 to 2500kms
Semi synthetic :- shell advance ax7 10w40 good for about 3000 to 3500km, I wouldn't extend drain intervals too long in this heat.
Synthetic:- motul 7100 or motul 300v 10w40, good for over 5000km but will drop in levels and will require top ups in summer heat.
                            I would go the ax7.

I would clean the stock air filter befire installation

Will do it mate. Since I have fitted the filter to the carb, I had to remove the pipe between the filter chamber and carb, so now for fixing it back have to take to them since I don't have the silicon sealant to fix the pipe.

Do get the diaphragm also checked. Even if there s a pin hole in that rubber also you will loose that throttle response @ high speeds.
