After completing 8000kms, i've used this oil (10W40 grade). It holds up so well at higher revs. Engine performance is consistent even after long rides. If W40 grade is available, it's a very good choice.Originally posted by Drifty View PostThe Apache is ever willing to red line each cog, but the Rider ain't. Enjoy RTR, Safely. Period.

little ot guys .after the unveiling of mind-shattering pulsar 200 ns ,don't you guys think tvs should revise their rtr series, apache is definitely aging.as a die hard apache fan i would like to see monoshock-ed,a free revving 200cc ,semifaired apache with some segment first and FAST features.what's your take?and the question remains why do i race?
every finishing line is the begining of a new race.

well, I noticed it only yesterday night while riding back from office... and was happening randomly, but only when light is on. Just the high beam is engaged without my action. Its a "public forum" I guess. And regarding changes in RTR, just check few hundred pages back, it has been discussed to death numerous times. Regarding speculation there is a separate thread, why would we ruin this thread just like others. Regarding other NS thread, I have made my point clear there itself.Originally posted by sayank10 View Postyou always seem angry whether its rtr owneship thread or pulsar unveiling thread.don't try to assert your authority here and there.sorry for the ot guys.seems like you guys don't want to see any change in rtr.Fare thee well xBhp, All the best for being the biggest name in corporate world

I have encountered a minor hiccup, so need your advice on this.
Sometimes, the bike fails to start, no matter how much you press the electric start button or use the kick. Then, only after 50-60 kicks, does the bike start. This occurs randomly and not because of the cold weather. It first happened when I had gone to Mahableshwar on the bike, took me about 20 minutes of kicking to start it. On coming back, I took it to the mechanic and he said, "Spark plug se engine spark catch nahi kar raha hai (The spark plug is not delivering current from the ignition to the combustion chamber)". After he removed the carbon deposited on the spark plug, the problem vanished for about a month. Again, a couple of days back, I started encountering the same problem, so I took it to him to remove the carbon. But even after removing the carbon deposit, I am still having this problem. It occurs suddenly, sometimes I don't encounter it for days together.
What should I do? Is it expected to clean the spark plug every month? Sorry if I have used the wrong terms, I am a noob when it comes to the technicals of a machine.

^^ Is the carbon deposits happening every month? If yes then something is wrong with the AFR. And 50-60 kicks , you must have got strong leg muscles by now. Have you checked the battery connections?Fare thee well xBhp, All the best for being the biggest name in corporate world

Whichever oil you apply on the slide will get sucked into the inlet during intake cycle..so it will not help.Try adding 1ml 2T per liter of petrol, for 5 liters of petrol, and see if any improvement is there.....In all CV carbs this chaffing is inevitable, and can be cured only by replacement.Originally posted by Drifty View Post@PSR Sir:Here are some pics of the carb diaphragm. The part whitish layer is clearly visible. The pitting marks are not visible in the pics though.
Is it OK to apply a light coat of thin 2T oil over the valve for smooth functioning of it?

Hi all, Recently I seem to be having a minor problem with my A180. Whenever i accelerate above 4k rpm, the sound changes, more like something is vibrating a lot. I checked for anything loose on the outside & everything looks fine. I doubt that the sound is coming from inside the engine. Have to take it to svc yet. Any of you have noticed anything like this before? My bike has done 6.6k kms. Everything is in stock condition, even the oil is TVS Tru4
Apart from the topic, here is my first trip log with my beast
