i found a dealer here but when i told him that iam going to use the night breaker in my bike he told me that although the 220's and the night breaker have the same rating and both are H7 but still there may be difference in the length of the bulb and the electrode which may not lead to the desired effect. he opined that if the two bulbs are not exactly similar the focusing will suffer. went tothe PBK and as usual they don't have any clue about the 220 bulb. guys can you put forward some details about the 220 bulb, whether the high and low bulb of the 220 are the same.the manual mentions the head lamp bulb as 55/55w. but one of my friend who also own a 220 told me that the low beam bulb is actually a 35w and the high beam bulb is 55w ,how far is this true as i was thinking of replacing the 220's low beam bulb with the 55w H7 nightbreaker.
both the bulbs are h7 55w replaced mine with phillips crystalvision h7 55w for both the high and low beams.

        • Changing Tank Pad?

I'm thinking of gettin a new tank pad for my silver 220.. I don't like the stock black one... it doesn't feel good and mine has also got many scratches.. I've chosen Keiti Kawasaki Tankpad TKW-504 Black TankPad from planetDSG..
I have few queries.. How will it look on my bike?? will it match with the Silver color?? what will be the dimensions of the tank pad?? and how will I remove the existing TankPad??
          Thanks in advance

lolz...i do jigar!! some points were great! Like how the fuel bar entertains you when you are stuck in a boring traffic jam.

                Expect the Unexpected!!!

Another Entertaining Problem happend thrice last week.
My 220 always starts with the 1st crank. 3-4 days back, when i was stuck in a trafic jam, it started with the 1st crank, but stalled after 2-3 seconds. Now for next 5-10 seconds, it wont even crank. After that, it started perfectly, as if nothing ever happen.Happened 2 more times.I guess its not a serious problem. Will take it to pbk on monday for cleaning the chain, will report the problem also.
Plus the 94 kmph @ 7000rpm thing is still there!

Kawasaki tankpad will be big for the pulsar's relatively smaller tank. better go for the keiti small carbon look tank pad. it will look proportionate to the size of the tank.or else you can also look for the R15's tankpad and see if it fits well. the R15's tankpad looks more practical to me.

well you have to peel off the tankpad from the tank very carefully(the way you peel off sticker from your bike).gud luck and do post some photos after you are done.

in that case send a mail to DSG and ask them to send you the dimensions of the tank pad both the normal size and the smaller sized one.they normally reply back the same day or the very next day. once you get the dimensions make a paper cut out and see if it looks ok on the tank.

Its not abt making my bike look like Kawasaki wannabe.. Its just abt looks.. Pulsar stock tank pad look cheap to me.. they get scratched very easily (once I swiped my nail on it and there was a permanent scratch) and neither do they look good.. I want to get one of these just for the sake of looks...

First of all u need some prior experience before riding P220. Because this bike easily builds speeds which are not possible for old 100cc bikes. 100kmph on this bike is child's play.

I have seen people crashing badly because of power and disc brakes! Because they had no experience!
Moreover you will be certainly be sore for few weeks because of riding position.

But once you pass this phase, there are not many bikes which give the same sensation as the Pulsar does! It rips and rips all way through the rev range!

I don't want to discourage you but try someone's P220 before you buy one!
