Bro, If your talking about colour fading then give the bike to svc and ask them to do the so called teflon thingi and while doing it they'l also spray somethig on you'r exhaust and wipe then wax and finally rub the teflon... You'rs will look good as new.

But.... If its rusting or chipping off, then you've got the right to get it replaced, since you'rs is a new bike. If you go back on the posts I believe you'll find one where a fellow xbhp'an got his replaced the next day after purchase.

      Dear friends ,

I recently bought RE electra so i want to check the resale value of my karizma (sep 2006 model,25000 km done,UP registration). People are quoting very less value as karizma is not very popular here in UP .Bike is in very good condition.

What should be minimum price i should sell it ?Please help.

                • WEEKEND MODS:

                  1.) HEADLIGHT RELAY:
Thanks to Vineeth and others for your inputs. The relay came with the circuit diagram making it easy to fix.

                  ITEMS BOUGHT:
-Headlight Relay(Available in all car parts shop) - Rs 180
-Thick wire(Again available in all car parts shop) - Rs 10 per metre(I bought 3 m)
                  -Other small small reusable things.

A self explanatory circuit diagram. If any one wants let me know will post a detailed guide for this.

Ceramic bulb holder. Costs Rs 50. Heard it is good but for some reason the bright was not working. So using the stock bulb holder as of now.

Taking the wire from the battery till the relay..

Find the relay! Used double side tape to put it in place.

Clip for the wire which supplies power to the relay. Makes it easy when removing the fairing.

                  2.) INDICATOR PARKING LIGHTS:

Simple mod. Just connect a wire from one front indicator to the other. Now when you turn on any indicator, both the indicators will flash. Add a switch for this wire to complete the circuit and voila, you have your own parking light switch. Fixed it on the fairing.

                  3.) SAREE GUARD:

The steel saree guard which came with the zma did not look that good. Liked the black ones which come in the bikes these days. So bought a can of matte black paint and painted it.

A Saturday morning well spent. Hope it was useful and feel free to reply or PM me in case of any queries.

Good thing, you sprayed it black, instead of replacing it with a black one that came along with new zma's. Cause they'r weak, and I mean real WEAK.

It is the CDI and the one to the left is the RR unit.

Sir, the CDI(Capacity Discharge Ignition, Source Wikipedia ) is used for ignition I learnt. What it the RR and what is it used for?

Aneesh , instead of superglue(cyanoacrelate) try two-part epoxy adhesive like araldite / fevitite ..standard or quick-setting types... it's bit trouble to mix up correctly & it takes overnight to harden ... but will never give away .
Nice oil-can .. I got an old one jus like that in brass .

RR is the short form for " Regulator Rectifier "..and as the name implies ,it Rectifies the incoming AC voltage ,from the stator coil,to DC and Regulates it to suit the Bike's electrical system Specification.

                              • ZMA Chain+Sprocket Set for sale

                                Hi guys,

Is anyone here in need of a Chain+Sprocket set for the ZMA? I have a brand new set with me and I am looking to sell it. I have the bill as well. It was bought for a friend who ended up buying 3 sets and wants to sell one of them. It seemed like a hard to get part and I thought someone might need it here.

Anyone? Msg me and we can meet over the weekend. I am located in Bangalore. And no, I don't need it. I have a Honda Unicorn.

                                Cheers!
